Stamp-a-Stack Winking Frogs

I am loving making cards form the Heartfelt Creations papers!  These are the cutest cards I think I have ever made.  I am also planning another Stamp-a-Stack with actually NO stamping in it at all for Monday Oct 10 and again Saturday October 15 from 1-4:30 at my church in Mentor.  I created 8 cards using Heartfelt Creations Winking Frogs papers with 3 having pockets for gift cards etc (if you prefer), one larger square card, and 5 being different folds.  I haven't figures the cost yet since I am playing with the idea of giving you the extras from the papers I use but it will be between $25-28.  I will need to know the number attending by the middle of Sept so I can get the papers ordered.  So let me know if you are interested in this class also.

*If you have a paypal account you can pay me for classes via paypal.me/ritakegg be sure to use friends and family!

This will be one of the cards we will be making.  The paper and stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs and the embossing folder is from Sizzix.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Sometimes the easiest and simplest cards are everyone's favorite .... as was this one yesterday at my first day Stamp-a-Stack.  You probably can not see it in the photo but there is a dusting of fine clear glitter on the main tree which adds so much to the card.  The image is by Heartfelt Creations called Magnificent Spruce Trees and the words are retired TAC.

Reminder that I do have a larger number of Heartfelt Creations in stock right now and my price for the pre-cut stamps is $12.50.  Let me know what you are wanting.

It was a fun class yesterday girls.... glad to see all of you.  Today my day will be filled with errands and all those things that need to get done.  Have a good one!

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

..... it this week!!!  If you have not contacted me yet and want to attend please let me know ASAP.  I will only take 4 per class and you will be making 20 cards, 4 of each of 5 designs. Of those 5 designs, I have two of which are using similar ingredients and stamps but are a little different .... like the one above and below.  You will be making two of the top and two of the bottom cards.

I have two openings on Wed from 1-4, Tues and Thurs night I can take four each night and Sunday I can take one more.  The cost is $20.  Cards are easy to make and made to put in the mail without extra postage.  I will not be supplying directions this time due to the size of the classes and the easiest of the cards.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my family ... everything tasted great and we all enjoyed the time together.  I Have been blessed to have them all here at my home this year.  Some of us used the hot tub later in the evening too!  Hope your weekend was fantastic also!

Holiday Stamp-a-Stack

Sunday was my annual Holiday Stamp-a-Stack, 350 cards were made that day!!!! Some made 20 and some 30 of ten different designs. That's a lot of cards. The cards I hope are simple, smart and sophisticated, the TAC way!! The top one used the Scor-pal and Scor-bug in an off set diagonal with Gingerbread Fun set from the new Avenue. It was colored with Copic markers and a clear gel glitter pen.
This card does not show up as nice as it really looks. It is a cream card with black glossy CS and a sheer and satin bow. It really looks elegant
Here I used the Peace set for the dove and colored with watercolor crayons for this basic gate card. The paper is Willoughby SCWC.
I love this traditional one with the PWP stamp for $2.95! It is a pull down card using the shopping bag die cut from my Cricut from Doodle Bugs. It is so simple but merry!!

It was such a nice to see so many of my stampers. Some of my stampers only attend the SAS, others classes only, and some both. I saw friends I have not seen in a while and it was a good reminder as to way I love doing this type of work. It is the fellowship and the friends that become life long!! It is so rewarding to see everyone have fun, create, learn and just have a day away from the real world. We all need to escape and stamping is a great way to do that!! It is so much cheaper and more fun than a therapist! Thanks to all who attended and I look forward to the next one!! Blessings

Oct. Mojo and other classes

I got so much designing done today!!! YEAH!! Here is the featured card for my Oct. Monthly Mojo class. I used the 'Happiness is' set and the 'Build-a-background' set. I made a slider card and really think it came out nice. It is colored with the Copic markers (which TAC is now selling until Dec. 31). I will be showing a few more tips on using them with this class and have a few fall cards, a pre-winter cards , a gift card other and others. If you have not signed up for it please check my calendar on the side of the page or click HERE to see when I have openings.
This is the card open. This card is in honor of my very very best friend, who I have know since 9th grade, we have golfed with each other for over 28 years and get together at least once a month to catch up. She moved to FL this week with her husband. This is a great loss for me since she know me better than anyone else in the world. She is my rock and she is always there for me. I am really trying to think of the positive ... I have a place to visit in FL!!! .... but is is hard. Ally you are already being missed. Love ya!!

I will also be teaching the Stationary Studio class one more time on Sunday and still have a few openings in my Star book classes. Please let me know if you are interested as soon as possible.

Stamp-a-Stack #3

Happy Mother's Day to all!! Call or see your mom today and tell them how much you love her ... you never know when the last time you will be able to do it again. Be a blessing to her today! This is another card from my SAS last weekend. I designed this one first and loved it. I was going for the present or hatbox look with this card. Did I fget it??? It is a simple and easy card to make with very few supplies. I used the Scor-pal to create the striped look on the bottom, by scoring every half inch and then sanding to make the scored lines pop. The rough side or right side of the orange Matchmakers cardstock is on the inside of this card. I used the set 'Playful Parenthesis" stamped on the top and then dirty stamped on the inside. The words are from the set 'You are' and are stamped in Noir. I added a glitter gel pen for some sparkle, scalloped edge and a white bow. OH ... don't forget to stamp the envelope ... you do not want to send out any naked envelopes!! The bottom picture show the inside of the card.Mom, I am thinking of you today and I am thankful for all of your love and nurturing ways. Being a mother now, I see how hard your job was and how great you were at it even though I did not see it then. Thank you for all you did for me. Blessings

Stamp-a-Stamp #2

I have not been feeling well this week and my energy is low so I have not been able to stamp much. But I have been able to be on computer some between naps. I am hoping I will be back energized and stamping soon. Today I am going to share a few more of the cards we made at my annual SAS a week ago.

They are both from this month's stamp specials Spring into May. The top set is my favorite in this promotion ... of course it would be ..... it has a nature theme. That is what I really love ... besides stamping. It is the set called 'Beautiful Friendships' . I used Sands of Time CSWIC for the printed and solid cardstocks and added a bow. It is a simple and sophisticated design using Burnt Umber ink. This one was actually a reject from my SAS. The night before I decided to change this card out for a different design but still wanted to share it. I used the set called 'A Kind of Gratitude' for the background. The bird and words are from the set "Pea Pickn'. I paper pieced the body of the bird and then colored the flower, bill and eye with colored pencils. I used a Designer paper from TAC for the printed paper.

Both of these sets plus 'Hello Sunshine' are discounted this month with a $30 order. They may not be int he new catalogue coming out in June either so be sure to get your orders in to get them in May! Be a blessing today.

Stamp-a-Stack #1

We had a really nice day on Saturday at my annual Spring Stamp-a-Stack. I created 10 card designs and then you can make 10, 20 or 30 of these all occasion cards in one day. I wanted to share a few of my designs here this week.

This one, I think, was every one's favorite!! It is one of my favorite sets from TAC called, 'Beautiful Day'. I used the Scor-pal to make a gate card on Matchmakers white core paper. It is so easy .... just line the card up on the left fence and score at the two dots! Now how easy is that. It meets perfectly in the center of the card when folded every time! Then on the inside front of the card I put the crease from the gate card on 3 5/8", which is the first arrow, and scored at the 4, 4 1/4 and 4 1/2" lines. I did this on both sides and then sanded it from the front side to make the lines pop. I added stamped flowers from the set, colored with watercolor crayons and mounted them on pink Matchmaker paper. Then we glued the top and bottom one on the left side of the card and the middle one on the right to make the cute closing.

On the inside we stamped the birds at the bottom and colored them with watercolor crayons also. I love all of the words from this set and how you can stamp the accent word in a different color so easily! I added grass to them by using little lines of two or three colors of green under them. The words on the front and the back are stamped in Burnt Umber with the scripted word in Claret for accent. Sorry the last picture is a little blurry.

Thanks for stopping by and Be blessed today!!

Fresh Spring Things

Wow ... TAC has a cute new promotion (and FREE downloads to match) right now called Fresh Spring Things. It is a new stamp set with cute little animals for the springtime, Gentle Beginnings DC and hardware to match! But the best is that it is only $19.95!! (full retail is $26.65) I will be putting an order in early next week if you want to take advantage of it!!

But the other good news is they have started a new area on their web site for free downloads. They have a great little download that matches this kit on there now for place cards. But I decided to print them off and have a little fun with them in cards. Here is what I came up with! I love how they turned out.

I used my Scor-pal to make decorative backgrounds and then ran a VersaMagic pad over the score lines for accent. I made 5 cards each with different looks for the backgrounds. I then cut out or punched out the images and designed the cards with scrapes I had of the Gentle Beginnings papers. I used different stamps on them for the words. My favorite words are TAC's free Gift with Purchase stamps to say Happy Easter! I highlighted the printed images with a glitter pen and I was done. They were so quick and easy to do! And the images are already colored and done for you ... all you need to do is to print them out .. now how easy is that.

I will be making a card with these downloads for my Monthly Mojo Class this month ... check my calender for the dates. Remember if you can not make one of these times let me know and we can work something out or if you are not local ... I do sell the directions.

I have two date today to share. On Friday, March 20 from 3-7 PM I will be at the Roly Poly in Mentor for an Open House for Serendipity!! Come pick up a quick healthy dinner and join me to view many of the projects from Escape, samples from my classes, and make a free make-n-take. Drop in anytime and stay as long as you would like. Check my calender for more details. If possible can you RSVP so I can get an idea of how many papers to cut. Thanks!!

Also, I have Faith Lutheran Church booked for my annual spring Stamp a Stack! Save the date, Saturday May 2 from 1-5! Have a great day and blessings.

Where does the time go???

To get everyone updated .. my Stamp-a-Stack was a great success!! There were 17 stampers who made a total of 380 cards in four hours!! I think everyone had a great time and had a relaxed day of stamping. It was so much fun. As for my craft show last weekend. All I can say is WOW!!!! I had the highest sales in my craft show experience! I sold out (or have one left) of at least four items, which are my top items and I thought I had made enough for the whole craft show season. Well, I have a lot of work to get done in the next two weeks to get ready for my next shows. But it is really fun work and customers came and gave me more ideas etc. I especially like it when last years customers come back and share with me what they did with the items they purchased the year before and how much they like them. I feel like I have made a difference in there life .. even though it is a small one. I saw so many people I know, it was so much fun seeing everyone and meeting new people also!!

OK you are here not to read all of this but to get more ideas. I made a few mini flip out albums like the Halloween one I had show. I started with a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and scored it at 6" in both directions with my Score-Pal. (Great tool!!) Then cut one of the scores to the center and folded it up. After it is folded I like to cut off about 1/2" from each side so they are now even. When you fold them there is bulk from the other sections and this makes the sides nice and flat and even. Then I decorated the pages with my favorite set Always Remember, Friendship Strips, flower and oval punches, ribbon, dotted Swiss Cuttlebug embossing folder, tags and pull outs and Reese Soar with it Collection. These are easy and fun to make!

Last Tues (election day) I played hooky in the afternoon since we had 70 degree plus weather! It was great to get to go for a walk at the Arboretum with friends. Then I worked a few hours on Wed, Thurs and Friday afternoon (between stamping) getting my leaves done. But the leaves had not all fallen yet. Then the temperatures started to drop ... sleet ... rain and then this morning I woke up to about 2" of snow!! That is northeast Ohio for you, quick change of seasons. I still have leaves on the treas. Yuck!! Oh .. but no one told me I would get MORE birds coming to my feeder .... and more different types!!! I really enjoy watching them. There are so many more there this morning, it is do much fun watching them all. I need to get going and get some work done. Have two big workshops this week and lots of stamping and cleaning to do. My stamp room is unbelievable ..... I am not sure I will ever see the tables again. Have a great day and blessings.

Stamp-a-Stack changed

It was a hard decision but I have decided to change the date of my annual Spring Stamp-a-Stamp to May 17 from 1-5 instead of April 12. I had an opportunity to be a vendor at a large event at Lakeland Community College on April 12 called 'Celebrate Woman'. It sounds like a great event for every!

Also, I was doing the designing for it a few weeks ago, and got carried away!! Instead of coming up with 8 'crunch' cards (can be made in less than 5-10 minutes) I came up with 12!! Yes .... 12 cards that I like! So, I also changed it to 24 cards, 12 designs, two of each design. Cost is $25. So let me know my May 6 if you are attending! Here is a sneak peak of a few of the cards! And I post a picture of one of my favorite cards we will be making! Blessings
