Bad to the Bone

Some of you know me well enough to know that I am totally a DOG lover .... especially my own Gabby.  She is 6-7 (rescued) and part beagle and toy dachshund ... and the most loving animal alive. She has the markings and face of a beagle but the short legs and long body of a dachshund.  She is almost blind, not sure how close but I have seen the changes in the last few years so I guess I will just say she depends on me a lot for her lack of vision. But I love her and she is by number one BFF.

But on to this card ..... when TAC first came out with the fall supplement with all of the realistic dog images I was totally shocked!!!  They are all so lovable and really hit the heart with the emotions they show in their faces.  Like this one from the set Bad to the Bone.  He is so big and strong looking ..... but look at that face .... it just makes you melt!
I used pieces from TAC's Sydney Circle Album Kit for this card .... the circle and corner, and scrapes from the matching paper collection Penelope.  This is a really quick and easy card to make after you get the dog colored.  I have been coloring images in the evenings while I watch TV and then have them really to make card when I need them.

I colored with these Copic makers ...
Notice I put little numbers on the top of my Ciao markers.  I have a sheet I found on the Internet with all of the numbers and I printed it off onto a sheet of labels.  Then punched them out with a 1/4" circle punch and put them on the brush end cap.  I then when one step farther and put Crystal Liquor on top so they would be sure to stay on.  It is so much easier to pick out the markers I want to use when I need them now.

*** I added a new Copic 101 class for next Thurs at one since my Wed class is filled.

This card is about the same but I did not put on the circle.  This makes a great masculine card me thinks.

August Mojo Classes

Here is another of the cards we will be making for my Aug Mojo classes next week.  It uses the new set 'Girls Day Out' and the 'Rockin' Roxie' Matchbook Kit.  Oh ... did I tell you that you get a Free Matchbook Kit this month if you purchase the set 'Spiders are Seen' which is a new set available from The Angel Company.  I was inspired by a card I got in my trades from seminar ... sorry I do not remember who made it .... but it is a pocket card.  I used the embellishments from the card kit on the card along with the matching Bazill papers.
Here is a close up of the boots with the tulips I colored with my Copic markers.  And below is a picture with the insert removed.  You can even add a gift item into the pocket if you wish.
I am actually doing three cards in this class with the words and smaller images from this set ... and I did not even use the main image.  It is a really nice set for words and images both.  I am having a lot of fun with it.  Sunday I will post another sample.

I still have openings in my classes if you are interested please let me know as soon as possible.  Check out the top of my blog for the calendar to see times and dates.

I did four (4) ... did I say four markets last week and it was so much fun meeting new people and sharing my products with people.  I am so loving doing these.  It was mighty hot though!!! I will be doing the same shows next week and then on the 27th I will be starting at the new Tri-Point Hospital Market from noon till 5:30 here is Concord off of RT #44.  I am looking forward to that one also!  Stop in and see my new products and see some of my other cards.

some Mini albums

Here are some of my first mini albums using the Cricut. Top is a school bus of course ... Does it need anything else to make it look like a school bus?
I love the colors in this one for any occasion.

This one is a backpack but many people who have seen it can not ID it as that. Can you give me any suggestions to make it look more like a backpack. If I put the handles on the back like a backpack they would not been seen and it would not lay down flat. I would love to make more of these to sell but not sure how to make it more real. I used Reece papers from TAC for it.

This last one is my first I made and you can still see the mistake with the Bind it all. I will learn. It is harder to place the holes correctly when it is not a straight line to punch on.

I will try and get more pictures done this week but I have a lot on my plate. Blessings

Scrapbooking page

I started my personal scrapbook for my cruise and am so excited with the first page of it. All of us had our picture taken on the cruise the first formal night and I am so glad I decided to get it. I think is a great beginning page for the adventure. The little boat in the upper left corner was gifted to my by a great stamper, Joan, as a start for my book. It is so cute since you push on it and the lights of the boat go on!! I used TAC Penelope SWIC tags for this page with matching white core cardstock. Notice how I put the score lines with the Scor-bug lines on the left side and sanded them for detail. But the fun part is that it is in interactive page!!

Hold on to the ribbon on 'This is Us' and pull up the page to see more pictures!!

Many of these are postcards but some are my photos. I could get the postcards and they did not have any people in. This is under the flip up page.

Under the group photo are these pictures of the boat. And I did the little postcards as a waterfall of photos with the name of each location on the boat showing with the postcard. I am loving this!!
Here is a close up of one of the locations on the ship and how it works.

On the bottom of the main group photo, I put one of TAC Dated Disk Stamps with the date on it.

So how am I doing on my first 12 x 12 that are for ME !! More coming ..... Blessings

Crop & paper candy

These are some of the paper candy I made for a make-n-take for a crop I was at yesterday. I used TAC Sands of Times SWIC cardstock, three of our nesting scalloped circle punches, a paper piercer and mat, ribbon and mounting cushion. I made a simple card to show one way to use them. The stamp set I used was Playful Pets and I colored them with chalks. I was disappointed not very many people wanted to make them but that is OK. I got a lot of pages done yesterday from my trip. I will start showing them tomorrow I hope.

Remember that TAC is having Double the Fun right now which is double the Hostess Incentives!! It is the best time of the year to stock up on all of your needs and get double the half price items and hostess sets. Also the SOTM Squirrely is only available until the end of Aug at this great price of $9.75.

I got my copy of the New TAC Inspiration Avenue, our fall magalogue yesterday!!!!. It is great!! Wonderful projects samples from the angels!! It features 42 new sets and brought back many of the sets that did not make it in the new base book for fall and winter. I am so waiting until Sept 1 so I can put my order in. I am really loving some of the new sets!! I will let you know when my copies come in the sell. Blessings

Stationary Studio Classes

Here is one of the new classes I will be teaching in Aug and Sept besides my Monthly Mojo classes. On the top you see the Stationary Studio all closed and how it would sit on your desk ... but the next pictures is what you see when you open it up and ready to send a card or note to someone special! In the class you will get a complete pack of More Mimi SWIC which is TAC's new double sided cardstock. You get to select the paper you want for the inside and outside and which tags you want to use and the rest you get to take home. Inside the studio are 6 cards with stamped envelops, stamped tags, a mini lined notebook, a pocket for postage stamps, a pocket for mailing labels, a loop to hold a pen, and an attach unlined book for notes or to do lists. You will get complete directions to make it and all supplies inside except for the postage stamps, address labels and pen.

Bring with you to class: Cutter for 12 x 12 paper, Scor-pal, adhesive(s), bone folder, scissors, pen you want in the studio, and scissors. I used the stamp set Watercolor Plants for the images and BooKoo Blessings for the words. If you have a stamp set you want to use let me know before hand or bring it along if you own it. Classes are limited to 4 per class so you have the room and time to complete the studio. Cost is $25.

These will make great gifts or a treat for yourself!! They are not hard to make but take a little time and room. Here are the dates I have available, if you want to the class but are unable to come on these dates let me know and we can work it out. I need to know at least 2 weeks notice before so I can order the supplies.
  • Aug 13 from 1:00-4:00 at Carol's in Lyndhurst

Spunky Sprite Girls

When I first saw these Spunky Sprite girls & boys sets, I wasn't too sure I liked them. But after I have played with them for a while I am really liking them. They are so easy to color. Here I used my watercolor crayons and waterbrush. They also would look great paper pieced! I used the Catelynne Paper Collection for the bottom of this card. And torn paper, a stipple brush and a light blue ink for the sky. I of course used the Clear Gelly Glitter Pen on the girl. I so love the light accent of sparkle that added. Below is a close up of the girl.
Yesterday evening and this morning I have making lots of cards. My stock is getting too low for my markets, fairs, and the store for selling. If the weather holds this weekend, I will take a table outside and take pictures so I can share them with you. It is in the 60's this weekend here in Cleveland, it feels like fall!! Have a great weekend! Blessings

Wait till you see....

... what is inside of this cigar box!!! At The Angel Company's Club Med luncheon we all make a larger prop and exchange them. We all get so many great ideas from seeing every one's work!! Well, this year I was the luckiest angel of all!! I received Shirley Hotop's miniature cigar box stamping studio!! It is outstanding!!! The workmanship, creativity, and time she put into it is amazing. I am so thrilled to have received this at the exchange!! Thanks you Shirley!! You can check out more of Shirley's work on her blog, Glittered Paws.

Now to see what is on the inside of it ....
It is a complete little stamping studio!! She has everything in it a stamper would use ....

... mini sponge, ribbons, eyelets, paper (she used TAC's Miss Moxie SWIC), buttons, pencils etc.

even on the shelf above the table she has more stamping supplies. Can you see how she put the shelf up with the metal hinges!!

This is the part that really go to me. She has a little garbage can with TAC's rubber in it!! How complete is that!!And realistic too!!

On the inside of the top of the cigar box she put a board up with samples of cards using all TAC images!!

Here is a look at the complete inside top of the box!! It has a special place in my personal studio now for everyone to see. I wanted to wait and show this until after my Open House so my local customers could see it in person first. You do not get the same impression with pictures as you do in real life. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift Shirley!! Blessings

Boys will be boys ...

... just playing in the water. This new TAC set is called Summer boys and they are all so cute. I colored this one with my watercolored crayons and added our new Clear Gelly Glitter Pen for accent. I scored the background on the diagonal with the Scor-pal and the Scor-bug, which is really a fun new tool that we now sell.

I hope many of you can stop by at my Open House on July 11 from 1-5 at Roly Poly in Mentor. Please RSVP if you can so I know about how many to expect. It is a smaller room so please feel free to come as go as you like, but be sure to try out the great food they serve! Blessings to all

A new set from Mabelle!

The Angel Company's exclusive designer Mabelle has done it again with this beautiful set, Fairy Birthday. I love the words and the images both !!. I used colored pencils to color her and added our new Clear Gelly Glitter Pen for accents and for her wings. The strip at the her feet is the color code on the edge of the paper, which most people throw again. I love to add these to my designs. I used TAC's New More Mimi, DOUBLE SIDED paper collection for the printed papers. Notice how I added a fold on each of the layers under the words so the under side of the paper would show. I also used TACs newest Scor-pal tool, the Scor-Bug!! It made the embossed dots in between the vertical scored lines on the left of the card. Be a blessing to someone today!

I colored this one with my watercolor crayons and accented with TACs new Clear Glitter Gel Pen, which you will LOVE!! I used the Catelynne Paper Collections for the printed papers. I love the colors pink and green together.

More Excitment!!

So when you take the lid off the side falls down and look of at all of the fun things inside!! It is a complete stationary set with postage stamps, tags, notebook, pen, post-it notes, to do list, cards and envelopes. Here is a close up of the stamp area and the inside side of the box. The words and tags on the left side and in the middle are part of the free downloads on The Angel Company's site!!
Here is the little notebook I covered and decorated. It has lined paper inside so would be great for addresses, notes and birthdays!!
This picture shows the whole inside again with some of the stamped cards and envelopes.
This is a close up of two of the cards. I used the same design for all of the cards with the Scoring on the bottom and a bird on the top with stippling. I tied a beige sheer ribbon along the edge. And there are no naked envelopes in this set!!
I will post more of this inside in my next post!!

If you are local and can attend my OPEN HOUSE to preview the new Inspiration book, it will be on July 11 from 1-5 at Roly Poly in Mentor.
