Blooming Gardens Class

Wow, life had been keeping me busy!! But busy means creating in my world so it has been fun!!  I have been having a wonderful summer market season at Mentor Farmer's Market on Fridays from 2:30-6:30 and Willoughby Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 8-noon.  Stop out and see me if you haven't yet this summer.

Next week is my stamping event for the summer, called 'Blooming Gardens' from Our Daily Bread Collection of papers.  We will be making 8 cards, two interactive, from papers and stamps from this amazing company for $25.  That includes cut papers, directions with photo and step by step directions and envelope.  If you have not signed up for the class you have a few more days and I have a few openings.  I have already cut for the class but need to do the die cutting, so let me know as soon as possible please!!  I can only take 4-5 per class and availability is limited in number so check my calendar for available times.

I also would like to publicly announce that my long time Monthly Mojo Classes have been canceled.  I have been teaching this class for over 12-15 years every month but my time and heart have not been into it.  I was planning on stopping it in September but needed to do it earlier.  Thanks to all of you who have attended these classes over the years!!  I will still be doing special stamping classes and events but not monthly.

Herbs by Stacy

I love growing, using and of course making cards with images of fresh herbs.  This card was made in our June Mojo Class using Stacy Stamps images called herbs.  I use various colors of  green inks to make them look more real. 

By the beach

Here is another card that we made in the June Mojo Class.  The stamps are from Art Impressions and are from a set called Beach Trifold.  This is just one of three of the beach scenes in the set.  It was colored with Copic markers.

Vintage and Fabulous Card

Hi, I have really been on the go lately and usually have these card up earlier but well ... here they are.  This was one of the cards we did this month in our June Mojo Class.  I love the softness and natural look of the images which are colored with Copic markers. 

Mojo Classes will be ending in September so if you have always wanted to attend one now is the time.  There are only three more months of these classes!!

June Mojo class - stacks of cups

Mojo is coming next week!!  Remember the last of these classes will be in September!  This month we will be making two different cards with the Tim Holtz teacup die.  This one is made with papers from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Please be sure to let me know if and when you will be attending mojo next week!  Thanks

May Mojo Crazy Birds

Lovin' these Crazy Birds by Tim Holtz!!  I used the same stencil from yesterday's card but they look so different.  Bird and balloon is watercolored.   This card will be in the May Mojo class.  Let me know as soon as possible if you are planning on attending!

May Mojo Bird on Branch

Wow, it is time for May Mojo already!!!  Where does the time go???  We will be doing 5 cards for $15 with papers cut, envelopes, directions with photo, cutting measurements, supplies and step by step directions. So far I have a class going on Tues and Wed at one and I can do an evening class if there is more than one person.  Please let me know as soon as possible!!

Background is a 'My Favorite Things Designs' stencil and all the stamps and dies are from Heartfelt Creations.  I am loving these new birds and branches from them.  They are really easy to use, both stamping and die cutting and they include the storage envelope with them.  You cut and stamp 3 birds at a time and 6 little flowers.  Boy does this save time when you are mass producing.

April Mojo Class - Quilt

This card is made from scrapes from our Soulful Stitches Class!  I love the look of the word 'Thanks', which is raised, is only half cut so it is attached to the paper below it.  The cross is shiny and the cross, hanging tag and papers are from Our Daily Bread Designs.  The word die is from Avery Elly and comes with three different sizes of the words with different fonts.  We will be making it in Mojo Class next week so be sure to sign up for it TODAY!! 

April Mojo Class - Lemons

Here is another card we will be making in our April Mojo Class this month.  The background paper is the cool think about this card but it does not show up well in the photo.  We will make it in class and it has shinny purple dots on purple paper ... nice look for Spring.  The stamp and words are from Avery Elly and are colored with Copic markers.  Great card to give to someone who needs a little lift.

April Mojo Class - Get well

Here is another of the April Mojo cards with a little glitz too.  The hearts have a nice glitter and shine to them!  The stamp set is from Dare 2B Artyz and has some really nice words for on the inside of the card too.  Let me know as soon as possible if you are planning on attending a class!

April Mojo Class - Bike

Welcome Spring!!!  I think??  It is starting to feel like spring withe the birds chirping, rains falling and yard cleanup beginning!  Let's hope it stays around for a while.

April Mojo classes are April 12-15 (I changed the calendar gitls) and I have all the cards ready.  This card is made to welcome in my favorite sport in the summer .... biking.  This is for you Carol!!! It is an Our Daily Bread Design stamp set with their papers and dies too.  The bike has a little shine to it and the flowers are glittery even though you can not see it in the photo,

March Mojo Easter Card

 This is one of the Easter Cards for March Mojo Class this week.  This one is fun and whimsical and the other is more elegant and formal.  It was made with the Rectangular Pull Open die by Karen Burniston and Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I used double sided papers and a retired set from TAC called I love Easter.  This has always been one for my favorite sets for Easter.  I added a pop-up bunny on the inside, the die for this is included with the Pull Open die.

Birthday Card with Fun Foam

Here is a really fun card made with word dies and stamps from Avery Ellie.  The black 'happy' is fun foam and was cut the same size and the stamp behind it.  The flowers are also fun foam and are a lot smaller from the original die cut.  Come to class this week and see how to do this!! 

March Mojo Pop-up Balloons

 March Mojo Class is here this week!!  Come on out and join us on Tues or Wed afternoon at one, Thurs evening at 6 or Sunday at 2.  We will be making 5 cards; two birthday, two Easter and a Sympathy card.  This card was made with various balloon dies from My Favorite Things Design and Avery Ellie.  Here is the simple front.  I want to make this card again with birthday candles or flowers or cupcakes .... oh there are so many ideas in my mind!!!

Mojo Time!!

Here is another card we will be making using a technique called Velveteen stamping.  It is so easy but gives a really cool look to you card and the feel of this card is really great too.  It actually feels like velveteen.  Let me know if you are planning on attending.

February Mojo Class

It is time for February Mojo Class!! We will be making this card with the stamp included on the card!!  Can you find it!!  You will be stamping with the hand made stamp and then attaching it to the card.  Fun!!  Let me know ASAP if you will be attending, so far it is looking like Tues and Wed afternoons are the going times. 

January Mojo - Thanks Sew Much

Most of the cards are winter related in January Mojo but this one is not.  I used the set 'Stitched with Love' by My Favorite Things Designs.  There are so many different combinations of words to use with this set and I love the way it blends so well with the Soulful Stitches Collection stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs.  Class are the week next week so be sure to email me or give me a call to let me know if you are coming!

January Mojo - Warm & Cozy

Here is the second card in the January Mojo class.  This stamp set 'Cozy Greeting', sweater texture stamp and die 'Sweaters' from My Favorite Things Designs are great ones for many different occasions for these cold winter months.  There are many different great greetings for you to select from from this set. Snowflake stamps are from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I also have a few more cards designed with these die and stamp sets in class to share.  Classes are the week of January 19 and are $15 for 5 cards here in my home in Concord. Check out the calendar above for the days and times.  If you have a group of 4-5 and want me to travel to you let me know and we can work it out!

January Mojo - Deer in Woods

I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post.  Sorry but my fall shows were amazing and they took all my time.  I have been working hard on getting classes ready for the new year (both here and for Adventures in Stamping).  January Mojo classes and many others are now on my calendar (above tab) for you to sign up!!  Here is one of the cards we will be making.  You can put any words you wish on the front from Our Daily Bread Designs, 'Ornate Sentiments'.  This is a very very versatile set that can be used for so many different occasions and the greetings come in two different sizes great for the fronts of cards since they are not too big.  The background is from the same companies (one of my favorites) called 'Birch Background'. Deer is a die cut from Cottage Cutz and will also be used in another card in class and I have a few more cards to show you using this die in class.  Let me know if you are coming to a class as soon as possible!

Due the cold and snow the local schools have been closed for 3 days here, which cancelled Cards for a Cause.  When schools are closed I cancel ALL stamping here for the safely of my customers.  It will be next Thurs, January 15, instead.  Please let me know as soon as possible if you can attend.  We will be making cards for Grace Hospice in Mentor and Women's Heart in Mentor too. 

I know there were a few of you who wanted a Copic 101 class the start of the new year so let me know if you are still interested and a few days and times you would be available.  I have a new Copic Class coming in a few months!
