Tri-Easel Flower Photo Card

Happy Spring!!  This tri-easel card features some of my photos of flowers.  I am making these for sale at the markets this summer and can create a personal one with your personal photos if you like.  I will need three photos that can be cropped into a minimum of  3 -
3 1/4" square.  I would need at least a week to complete it.  Colors will have to match the photos.

Please say 'Hi' in the comments below so I can see how many are reading my blog.  Thanks!

I'm here!

Hi Everyone! Happy Easter!!! I had computer challenges and it took me a while to figure out how to get everything working together again.... all better now.  Sorry it has been so long since I posted.  I would like to have a shout out to see how many people are reading this to see if I should continue.  I only had one person notify me that she missed me.  So please post a "hi" in the comments if you would like me to continue to post what I have been making.  Thanks!!  Also, if you are one of my local stampers let me know if you would be interested in a spring stamping event May 7 or May 14.

I have been making all kinds of fun cards for preparation for the markets opening in May!!  I will be doing the Willoughby Farmer's Marktet on Saturdays from 8-noon starting in May till the end of Sept. and the Mentor Market on Fridays from 2-6:30 starting in June.

This is one of the new types of cards I have been making. They are  tri-easel card.  I put three of my own photos on the card and heart felt words with embellishments.  They fold down and I have an envelope that it can be mailed in included.  They are approximately 4 1/4 x 10 1/4" in size.  You can sign your own words on the back of the card.

Graduation Day

It seems like yesterday when this young lady was born and now she will be graduation from High School tonight. I even remember the night her mother was born ... am I getting old! I made 40 of these invites for her for her graduation party in July. The stamp is a retired TAC images and I used my Cricut and Gypsy to make the 'party' on the side. You can not see in the pictures but I have the caps highlighted with clear gel glitter pen.
I printed the insides off on my computer for the invitation. I sure hope she likes them.

I found out last week from my gutter guy that my roof was in serious shape since last fall when he was up there last. I called a few roofers and have decided on one and he suggested I call my insuance since he feels parts are due to storm damage. They were both here this morning and I am waiting for her to give me the finial verdict but I do know she feels parts at least are due to storm damages .... so that is my good news .... I will get a tarp later today to prevent any other damage from coming inside. So I am choosing this to be my good news for the day.

But wait I have two good news today .... Jessie is graduating and I am so proud of her and her parents!! Tommorrow I will show you the card I gave her for her graduation tonight.

Father's day boots

Here is anonther of my photo cards that I cut out the picture for the front of the card. This picture was taken at my friend's home, her flower beds are amazingly beautiful! The words are from a masuline Darcies set I have had for awhile. I just liked the words with the pictures and thought it would be a good card for Father's Day. I got a lot of great cards made up this weekend for my Open markets and the store. I felt really accomplished!

Good news for today ..... I just got home from Middlefield on this wonderful spring day ..... not too hot and not too cold! We went to check out the Open Market and Flee Market to see if it would be something I would like to do, but I do not think it is a fit for me. But we all got great fruits, veggies, and plants that were way cheap!! Had a wonderful lunch at Yoder's, went to the Art Bin Outlet and to get Amish cheese. Yummmmm ... dinner tonight will be fresh fruits, veggies and cheese.

Precious Photo card

Did I get a lot done today ... wow ... and I am not even tired!! Got lots of things that NEEDED to get done this morning and early afternoon and then when it started to rain I sat down and got to work making cards. Yes, I make cards for a living and I am running low so I NEEDED to get more made for the store and for my Open Markets. Then this evening I got a lot of laundry done and put away.

I looked though some of my pictures I had developed and decided to use some of them for my cards. This one I decided to cut the flower out from it's background and it really is a striking on the card that way. I added a scored background with my Scor-pal and some words from Stamping Sensations and a little ribbon and it looked done. It was too easy ... so I decided to make a few more like this one and will be showing you them for the next few days.

Now for a bit of good news .... the tree in my backyard that fell about a month ago finally got cut up and taken away and I am so pleased with how it will be used. The guy who cut it did not charge me much if he could take the wood to use it for his boy scout troop's campfires. It makes me feel so good to know that is what it is going for. Also, that it did not cost me that much to get taken care of either is good news.

Last few days ....

It is close to the end of the month and the Spring into May sets will be gone come June first! Be sure to check them out and get your order to me if you want any of them. My favorite set is Beautiful Friendship as you can see in my past posts.

I just taught my Picture Perfect class this week and had great reviews!! I love making the photo cards and everyone had asked to learn how I do them so the class was developed. I will be doing the class again later on and will be designing a Picture Perfect Too! class which will focus on using photos in differ folds and designs for a keepsake. I will be offering that in Aug or Sept.

Here is one of the cards in that class using the 'Forever Friendship' set and 'I love Easter set'. I used Willoughby paper to accent the image. I also used the Scor-pal for the diagonal background and added a brown bow.

KEEP THE DATE JUNE 12 open if you are local and interested in coming to my stamping garage sale! I did not have one last year so there will be more available this time. It will be from 3-8 here in my home. Have a blessed day!

Happy Easter!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter and has time to spend with friends and family this year. I wanted to share with you two photo cards I made for the holidays with a picture of a stain glass window in a beautiful church in PA I visited while on a rafting trip. I loved this picture so much, I looked it up to use. I have printed off two different sizes of it to get different looks. I first scored the backgrounds, mounted my pictures, added the ribbons and stamping and I was done. The set I used is called Blessings and has four wonderful stamps for inspirational cards. It is a Thanksgiving set but I personally use it all year round. I hope you enjoy them. Remember you can click on the images to see them closer

I have been busy trying to get my studio (living room & dining room) cleaned since I will be having out of town company next week from Chicago!! I am looking forward to their visit since we always have so much fun with each other. Now if you are local ... you will need to stop by NOW if you want to see my studio clean ... it will not last long ...... so get over here as soon as possible. Otherwise, you can enjoy my creative mess with me like you always do!! Hey ... did you guys know there are TWO tables to stamp on in my room??? And there is a counter for my cutter and now my BIG Shot??? WOW!!! I didn't remember that it has been so long. LOL

Picture Perfect Class

So many of you have been so kind about my new passion of putting my personal photos into my cards and have asked for a class. Well, here it is! We will make 5 cards with matching envelops using my photo and then you will be able to use your own photos on future cards. We will be using the Scor-pal for all of the cards for different embossed backgrounds. Please bring to class: scissors, glues, bone folder, cutter and Scor-pal. Cost $15

Sun. May 24 from 2-4:30
Wed. May 27 from 1-3:30

Wed. May 27 from 6-8:30
Thurs. May 28 from 6-8:30

I will need to order pictures so I need to have your RSVP early so I can have the photos ready for you to use. I have learned a few tricks on scoring, layering the pictures, adding ribbons, and accenting them with your stamps which I will share during the class. The cards here are a few samples of my cards and may or may not be in the class. Blessings

Great Show

I was really busy this week getting ready for one of my favorite craft shows at St Gab's. It was an outstanding show for me! My photo cards made a really big impression and I sold quite a few!! YEAH!! I was so thrilled to see that my photos were bringing people so much joy. I love making these since it brings my rubber stamping and paper arts into my love of nature. This coming week will be another busy one for me since I will be preparing for classes, a workshop and getting ready for a new venue for me ... I will be at a Holistic Health Expo on Saturday April 4 from 9 AM till 7 PM at the Geneva on the Lake Lodge. That is such a beautiful place, so if you are in the area stop in and see me!! I need to make more photo cards!!

I need to remember to take pictures of these cards as I make them but I have been making them and selling them so fast. I even came home on Friday night from the show and make 10 more cards to take in in fear I would run out! It was so exciting to see people enjoy them like that. I need to get a few more photos developed this morning so I can have a few spring cards for next week. Have a great day! Blessings
