Gathering Cards

Stacy Stamps has the most natural looking animal, bird and flower stamps every.  I love this deer stamp and have used it a lot for many different cards.  This one is a faux  brick look in all blacks and browns.  Notice the great distress background stamp for the background.  It will be made at my gathering next weekend and also in my upcoming Gathering Cards class at the end of the month and the beginning of June.

Enjoy Today

A great manly card for any occasion, featuring a Hero Arts Stamp set and various types of scoring for a color blocked background. The background for the stamp is stamping with Distress Pads. This will be one of the cards for my gathering next weekend and will also be in my up coming class Gathering Cards at the end of this month and the beginning of June.  Let me know if you are interested in attending a class or are interested in purchasing any of the products.

Gathering Cards

A week from today is my annual Angelic Impressions Gathering 2013.  I wanted to start to show you some of our projects.  Six of these cards will be in my up coming Gathering Cards Class at the end of this month & the beginning of June.  Check out the calendar on the tab above for dates & times.  Click the link on the calendar to see more information.

This is a gated easel card using stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I love it and it is so so easy to make!

Here is a little closer look at the inside ....

and here is the card closed.  The cool think is that it stands on it own for display!  This is also a sample of one the styles of cards I teach in my Fabulous Folds for A2 cards.

Let me know if are interested in a class or purchase any of the products.

Garden Tri-fold stamps

I am really loving playing with these Tri-fold Stamp sets by 'Art Impressions', click here to see the sets.  This one is the 'Garden' set.  I just love the bunny!!  They are three stamps in a set that coordinate to make a tri-fold card.  But they can be used individually also!!  I water colored this sample with water color crayons.

Here is is the card partially open ....

.... and here is the other angle of the card.  I am hoping to have class working with these stamps later in the summer where I will show you a few different way to use them.  If you are interested in purchasing any of these stamps please email me privately for information.

My Angelic Impressions Gathering is in a few weeks and I am getting closer and closer to getting ready.  Today I made up the bags for the cut supplies, goodie bags, name tags and prize bags.  The cards are basically designed except for two since I need one more item for each of them first. Most all are cut, stuffed and photographed and directions are written too.  We will be making 31 projects!!!  I am so glad I have so much done so far but still have things to do.  I can still take two more stampers until next Thurs so if you are still interested let me know!  It is always a lot of fun and I really love the projects this year, mostly all cards this year

Leftovers from walking the stamp

From the previous two days I showed you cards make by walking the stamp in Distress ink and then stamping first or second generation.  Today's card was a total experiment since I tried to stamp it a third time but it was too like.  So I put the watercolor paper into the colors on my craft sheet and had them soak them up and did some blending with a waterbrush.  You can see a little of the first image in the background.  I stamped the image in black over the dried paper.  Added random dots with my Viva Pen and added words from Tim Holtz's Everyday Words.

Second generation stamp walking

I stamp the image from yesterday's card a second time with a little spritz of water .... but it did not come out too dark.  So I decided to give it a little help with some collage stamping around it.  I used some retired stamps from The Angel Company.  The words are from Just Thoughts from Tim Holtz.  The black dots are from a Viva black pen.  I like to use them for a little embellishment.

Wildflower Garden

Here is a new technique with the Wildflower Garden solid image from Hero Arts called walking the stamp.  I put various colors of Distress inks on a stamping sheet and walked the image through them a few times to get the color on the image.  Here is the first generation of the stamping.  The words are from Way with Words by Tim Holtz.  I like the look of the bow on the top ... it kinda looks like a present with it up that high.
