Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

I know it is only Oct but some people are getting ready to make their Christmas cards.  I want to announce I will be having a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack at my church (Pilgrim Lutheran Betheran in Mentor) on Sunday Oct 19 from 2-5.  We will be making 15 cards from 5 designs (three of each designs) including envelopes, written directions and supplies cut and ready to put together.  I need you to RSVP before Oct 12 (earlier the better) since I need to have at least 12 attendees to have the event.  Cost is $25 which is $1.67 per card!  I will send you an list of supplies the week before the event.  Please email me if you are planning on attending.

This will be one of the cards we will be making.  The paper and stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs and the embossing folder is from Sizzix.

Feb Mojo Class

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, I will be teaching my Feb Mojo classes.  I have been posting photos of the cards that will be taught in the class so you can go back and see more of them.  Most of them were cards I had designed for the gathering which was cancelled for this year.  Here is the fourth card.  It is a tent card, meaning it stands upright and has depth in the scene as you can see in the below photo.
I used an Elizzbeth Craft Designs die cut called 5 part pine which cuts pieces that can make pine trees of all different sizes! The bunnies & words are from a stamp set from Art Impressions of Woodland Critters and the embossing folder is from Sizzix.

Please let me know if you are planning on attending a class next week from my calendar at the top of the page.

Wedding cards

Here are a few more cards I made with the Hampton Arts wedding set.  I colored the image with Copics, cut it out, added Wink of Stella Glitter for accent, and then layered on an embossed layer and layered again on to a second color.

Here is another done in the same manner in different colors and a different image.

June Mojo - That's How We Roll

This card will be one of the cards made in my monthly Mojo Classes next week.  Check my calendar (tab on the top of this page) for the dates and times. Then send me an email if you are interested in attending.  You can see the list of supplies, class discription and who is attending if you click on the link for each class.  The stamp set I used is from Unity.  It is an Easel Card so it stands up on it's own.

This is how it looks from the side view.  The embossing folders I used is from Sizzix and I colored it with Copic Markers.

Here are close ups for the words of the card.

This is the Stamp set that I used.

If you are interested in the class or the products send me an email at ritasangels@gmail.com.

I know the bottom of this card looks a little strange but it is a transparency with the banner stamped on it ... the present is on the inside of the card.  This is another of the cards we made at the Gathering this year.  It will be in the Gathering Cards Class that will be next week.  If you were not able to attend the Gathering and still want to make a few of the cards here is your opportunity.  Email or call me if you are interested.

The stamp set is from Hampton Arts Outlines and is red rubber cling.  I love using these images for birthdays ... they also have a great one for babies and weddings and they are very reasonable in price. The embossing folder is from Sizzix. The stars with the swirls works great for birthday, congrats, grads, and wedding and is great for all ages and gender.  Contact me if you want to purchase anything.  I will be putting in an order at the end of this week.

I did send out my first subscription newsletter via mailchimp today.  If you did not get it and would like to be on my mailing list send me your email and I will get it to you.  I will include classes, important dates, stamping news, new products, stamping tips and more in each month's letter.  Please forward yours to all of your stamping buddies if you would like them to get it also.

Elegant weeds 2

For this card I stamped on a 'free' paint chip from the hardware store.  Be careful to let it dry completely before you touch it and use an Archival Ink.  This is the second image in the Hero Arts set called Elegant Weeds which I am featuring this week.  I used an embossing folder in the back for the dimension and the words again are from Heartfelt Creations.

This Saturday I will be hosting my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack which will lots of fun! But if you are not signed up for that and still want to make a few items for the holidays then my December Mojo is for you.  We will be making a gift (Christmas tea in my last post), three 4 x 4" gift card enclosures, (I will show you how to make envelopes for them too), two larger gift tags, and a Christmas card.  I hope to show you a few new techniques or refresh them to your mind for making quick and easy things for Christmas.

This is a 4 x 4 gift card enclosure and I will show you the same idea in a full size card in the class also.  It can be made in less than 10 minutes!

March Mojo Class

Next week I will be teaching the March Mojo classes!  Go to the top and click on my calendar to see the dates.  Not many signed up yet but hoping to see more.  We will be doing spring, Easter and sympathy cards.  Here is one of the cards we will be making.  I love the peacefulness of the flowers in the pail with the hat!

If you are going to the gathering you should have received an update from me yesterday .... if not let me know. The information is at the top under the 2012 Gathering tab.  The gathering is sold out and I have a waiting list started so keep me posted if you are planning on attending.

Saturday I will be at St Pasqual's Spring craft show with some new items .... 24 calorie free cupcakes with a greeting, beautiful note pads, covered journals, clipboards, all occasion gift tags, new photo cards, etc.  Stop in and see the new items available for spring.

I am working on a new adventure!  I have been wanting to do this for a long time and finally have started.  I am writing verses for the inside of cards, putting 8 on a sheet with fancy spacing, fonts etc so they can be printed out on your printers and used in cards.  It makes it easier for me to do this with all the cards I make and sell.  I can print one copy on card stock, layer it and put it on the inside of the card and another on copy paper so I can have the copy paper one showing in the cello envelope when I sell them.  I am going to make these available to purchase at my Etsy store very soon!!!  I have three birthday sheets (one humorous), an anniversary and a graduation sheet all almost complete!  I still would like to do a sympathy, baby, and kids cards sheet in the future. It takes me a while to get all of the fonts, letters and spacing the way I want them to look.  But it is fun to do while I am watching TV.   Let me know what you think about this idea.

Happy Va;entine's Day!

I thought these roses would be prefect to share with you today.  This large rose stamp is from Just for Fun stamps.  I colored it with my Copic markers (R35, R37, and R39).  It was outlined with B0000 before I cut it out close.  I have gold Pearl card stock as the base which was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and the dolly is from Cherry Lynn.  I think it has a very romantic feel.

Hope you are all having a nice Valentine's Day!!!  And Happy Birthday to my friend Greg!

Poppy

This week I spend a few days designing for Just for Fun Design's presentation boards.  For the next few weeks I will be sharing those designs with you.  This one is using the poppy stamp.  I used Copic colors R35, R37 and R39 to color. I edged the poppy in B0000 and the die cut piece is edge with a yellow.  I used two different embossing folders from Sizzix for the die cut (Spellbinders) and the background.  The burgundy ribbon does match it better than it looks in the photo.  I added a pearl and used a Martha Steward punch for accent.  I am really pleased with the way it turned out.  I will have another version of this same stamp tomorrow.

On Monday I started a card ministry at my church and I was so pleased with the way the cards turned out.  I had 9 ladies, only two with any stamping experience, and they turned out 50 cards of four designs in 2 hours.  They are were beautiful!!  They all told me they had a good time too .... and I know that the recipients of the cards will enjoy them also.

Feb Mojo Class 2

Love this design and it's simplicity!  It will be another of the cards to be made at my Feb Mojo class .... I was inspired by a card from Pinterest .... but I changed it up quite a bit.  Can you see the flower that is stamped under the words.  Check my calendar for days and times.

January Mojo Class

So now it is January and I hope you are ready to start a new year of Mojo Classes with me ... mojo means your creative juices so I hope to get them moving once a month in my class.  We make 5 cards for all different occasions.  This month we will be doing 2 floral, 2 valentine and one snow card.  I am so in love with this one .... check out the top layer ... that was a solid paper to start with but this tech makes it really pop!  I hope to show some of you a new technique or two in my class too.  My calendar has the dates .... they start next week .... so let me know when you are coming.  If those times do not work, let me know and I may be able to change a few.
