Step it Up Class

In my class called 'Step it Up' I will be teaching 3 more challenging cards at Adventures in Stamping from April 22-24 in Akron Ohio.  This card I am calling a 'Gated Stepped Easel Card' and folds up to fit in an A2 envelope (but I use an A6 due to the depth of the card).  I use a variety of different companies for this project from these companies: Elizabeth Craft Designs, Our Daily Bread Designs, Heartfelt Creations, Art Impressions, My Favorite Things Designs, We R Memory Keepers, and Lawn Fawn.  Go to their web site HERE to see the details and sign up.

If you are a local and interested in taking the classes I have been showing here in my home in Painesville please let me know and I will see about setting ups some dates.

By the beach

Here is another card that we made in the June Mojo Class.  The stamps are from Art Impressions and are from a set called Beach Trifold.  This is just one of three of the beach scenes in the set.  It was colored with Copic markers.

Cards as Boxes Class

I just taught this class to 25 (sold out!!) students at Adventures in Stamping this past weekend and I know a few of you locals were interested in the class also.  It is planned for May 6 and/or May 7 at one each day.  I will ONLY take 4 per class and I must know for sure you are coming by Friday May 1!!  I have one person interested now and she can come either day.  If anyone else wants this class and can not come now let me know and maybe we can plan it at another day and time.  This is a BEAR to cut and prep for so I must know in advance and you MUST show up!! You will not finish putting all the decorations on the cards in this class but you will know how to so you can finish at home.  Class is $25.  The ladies who took it left on Saturday really pleased with the class even though they were not finished.  Let me know as soon as possible.  It is a 3 hour class!!

Cards in a Box

I have been making and selling a lot of these cards in a box!  They have been a really big hit at the Willoughby Markets. I am just going to have a series of photos the next few days of some of the ones I have made.  These take between an hour to an hour and a half to make and each one is really unique.  This one is using Art Impressions Tri-Fold cards in the Garden and various scripture stamps I have.  I make put the words on this one on acrylic so they look like they are floating in the air.

Feb Mojo Class

Starting tomorrow, Sunday, I will be teaching my Feb Mojo classes.  I have been posting photos of the cards that will be taught in the class so you can go back and see more of them.  Most of them were cards I had designed for the gathering which was cancelled for this year.  Here is the fourth card.  It is a tent card, meaning it stands upright and has depth in the scene as you can see in the below photo.
I used an Elizzbeth Craft Designs die cut called 5 part pine which cuts pieces that can make pine trees of all different sizes! The bunnies & words are from a stamp set from Art Impressions of Woodland Critters and the embossing folder is from Sizzix.

Please let me know if you are planning on attending a class next week from my calendar at the top of the page.

Sept Mojo Class Time

Mojo classes are next week so if you are interested in attending let me know.  We make 5 cards, for all different occasions, with photo directions and an envelope for $15.  All level of stampers are welcome!

This is one of the cards we will be making.  It is one of the new 'Try-fold' stamp sets called 'Gazebo' from Art Impressions.  I only used one of the images and thought it would be a great card for an anniversary, wedding shower or birthday.  You can make which every you would like.  It is colored with Distress markers and a water brush and the words (inside and out) are from a My Favorite Things set called 'Anniversaries'.  I used silver metallic paper with a embossing folder and then cut out a few of the embossed flowers to make the layered flower at the top by the bow with a yellow center of Viva's Paper Pen.

'Try'Fold Class

Here is another of the cards from my class.  This is one of the easy cards and I show you how to use Tim Holtz Masking sheets to achieve this look.  This card has two images from two different sets on the front .... can you see them???  The birdbath is from the set called 'Garden' and the tree (with the fawn not shown) is from from the 'Lakehouse' set, both by Art Impressions.  This is a quick and easy card with no coloring.  The words are from a set I love called 'Cheerful Blessings' from My Favorite Things.

I have one opening in Sunday class at 2 and have a class on Monday at 6 if you are interested. You will need to color and cut  9 images before attending the class.  So let me know as soon as possible.

'Try'-Fold Stamps from Art Impressions Class

I taught the first class last night and they all did a great job with their cards!  I will teach you different techniques for using these sets of 3 stamps as a set and as individual images for A2 cards.  We will make a gated step card, this flexy card, a tri-fold card and three other easy cards (no coloring) for a total of 6 cards.  If you are interested I have one opening on Sunday afternoon at 2 and have another class next Monday at 6.  You will need to have 9 images colored and cut out before the class so let me know as soon as possible if you want to attend.  I could also have a class on Tues afternoon if anyone is interested.

This card uses the set called 'Cottage' and I colored mine with watercolor crayons and colored pencils.  I have been using a combinations of types of coloring medium in my work lately since each type has things I like and do not like.  Try it and use the color medium that fits the job.

'Try'-fold Cards Class

I have been playing with these 'Try'-fold stamp sets from Art Impressions for months!  I enjoy the versatile of the sets which have three matching scenic stamps in each set.  Click here to see all of the sets. (They have some new ones out but they are not on their web site yet)  This card uses the set named 'Garden' and is a Gated Step card from my Fabulous Fold Class.  This class I designed, 'Try-Fold' Fun, has three cards from my Fabulous Folds class and to regular A2 card which are quick and easy (no coloring).  The three folding cards have three images in each card that need colored so if you are planning on attending this class please contact me about getting the images to color & cut prior to attending the class.  That way we will have time to make all of the cards.  I will also be showing other cards you can make with these sets.

Check my calendar for times and dates for this card and be sure to contact me so I can get the images to you so you can get them colored and cut for the class.

Below is a picture of the above card closed.
