Black, white and red floral

Can you tell I love this images from Just for Fun stamps???  I have used the same image for the last few days with different looks.  Here I stamped on smaller squares of white in black ink from different parts of the image.  The squares were then mounted on red card stock and attached at different heights (using mounting cushion).  I added a grosgrain ribbon and bow and a Spellbinders Edge die for added texture.

Are you stamping today for yourself for FUN??? If not, what is stopping you?

Bold and Hot flowers

Again the same stamp that I used for the last two days stamped in black ink from Just for Fun.  On a separate white piece of card stock I direct to paper three Distress inks, yellow, orange and red.  Then when it was dry I stamped the flower image over it with black Versafine ink. It is mounted on black paper and then on white paper again mounted to black card stock.  I added a rust colored sheer ribbon with a bow, the greeting and three Viva black pearl dots.

Follow your dreams!

This is the same stamp from yesterday's post from Just for Fun stamps. I stamped it at different heights with black ink on white paper, mounted it partially on red paper and then totally on black CS.  I added sheer red ribbon with a bow.  The butterfly is a Martha Steward stamp punched from red glitter paper.  Another quick and easy card.

By the light of the moon

I love the look of this stamp when it is stamped in black Versafine ink, which I think is the darkest of all black inks.  On this card I masked the moon with a punched circle and temporarily attached it to the card front.  Then I used a blending tool and blended yellow and orange Distress Inks over the circle, removed the circle and the moon was formed. I found this ribbon that matched perfectly,  mounted the image on black and then to the card front and I was done.  This could be for almost any occasion of card.  The stamps in the cards are all Just for Fun stamps.

Hope you are finding some joy in your week so far.  Blessings!

Happy Va;entine's Day!

I thought these roses would be prefect to share with you today.  This large rose stamp is from Just for Fun stamps.  I colored it with my Copic markers (R35, R37, and R39).  It was outlined with B0000 before I cut it out close.  I have gold Pearl card stock as the base which was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and the dolly is from Cherry Lynn.  I think it has a very romantic feel.

Hope you are all having a nice Valentine's Day!!!  And Happy Birthday to my friend Greg!

Dogwood antiqued

I colored this image from Just for Fun with colored pencils on white card stock.  I wanted it to have an antiqued looks so I wrinkled the paper and then ran the Walnut ink Distress Ink pad over the paper. I also blended some Torn Paper Distress Ink around the torn edges.  Under that I tore a page from an old paper back book and distressed it in the same manner.  I found some velvet rick rack and added that with a button with a bow attached through it with Scrapper's floss.  It is all mounted on a dark brown CS.

At the beach

Here is another Just for Fun image ... this one is stamped in black and colored with my chalks to get the soft look of a beach.  Notice how I added some of the yellows and oranges in the water so it looks like a reflection.  I also added some black Spica glitter pen to the tops of the grasses to give it a little shine (you can not see that in the photo). All of the images on this are from Just for Fun stamps ... you can purchase the images in different forms so go check them out.

Field of Poppies

Yesterday's and today's cards have the same image on them even thought they look so different.  For this one I stamped the poppy on red card stock many times and cut them out.  Some are raised and some are not. When doing this technique be sure to edge the sides of the cut out images with a black marker so you get a nice black edge .... it makes it look more professional.   I used one of their fern images for the leaves, added ribbon and Viva black pearl dots.  I like the way one of the leaves of the bottom flower goes over the edge a little .... I was going to cut it off but decided not to.

Hope you are having a great day .... do something wild for YOURSELF today!!!

Poppy

This week I spend a few days designing for Just for Fun Design's presentation boards.  For the next few weeks I will be sharing those designs with you.  This one is using the poppy stamp.  I used Copic colors R35, R37 and R39 to color. I edged the poppy in B0000 and the die cut piece is edge with a yellow.  I used two different embossing folders from Sizzix for the die cut (Spellbinders) and the background.  The burgundy ribbon does match it better than it looks in the photo.  I added a pearl and used a Martha Steward punch for accent.  I am really pleased with the way it turned out.  I will have another version of this same stamp tomorrow.

On Monday I started a card ministry at my church and I was so pleased with the way the cards turned out.  I had 9 ladies, only two with any stamping experience, and they turned out 50 cards of four designs in 2 hours.  They are were beautiful!!  They all told me they had a good time too .... and I know that the recipients of the cards will enjoy them also.

Just for Fun stamp

Spring can not be here soon enough so I have started stamping with my flower images.  This one is by Just for Fun Designs and the main one is colored with Copic markers.  The leaves are punched from a circle punch and the words are a retired Angel Company stamps.  I made up a bunch of these the other day.

Rose image

These two cards were made with an image of a rose from Just for Fun Stamps. Both are stamped in a Nestie oval. The top one I added words from TAC's 'Savvy Sentiments' and a Sizzix textured emboss folder and colored with my Copic markers.  I love the simplicity of this card.
The one is made the same way but I used a piece of red cardstock and embossed it with my Scor-buddy to add texture.

Hope you had a great Memorial Day!

Make it your own cards

I started making a new type of card to sell last week and I am calling them 'Make it your own cards'.  I will be decorating the card front only and envelope and will NOT be putting any words on them.  That way if someone wants a card for a specific reason and they do not have a card for that reason .... they can just write want they want on the inside of the card.  I hope people like these.
Both of these two cards are made in the same manner.  I did an embossed background with a Sizzix texture fade folder and then added one of the floral ovals from Just for Fun Stamps and added a white bow.  I colored both with my Copic markers and highlighted the flowers with a clear glitter pen.  I love how these turned out!

The color purple

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted .... I have been stamping and creating things really ... I just can not show you here what I have been doing yet.  Time will come though soon.

Here is a card I made for a friend's birthday using a stamp from Just for Fun.  I love the look of the realistic flowers.  It is colored with Copics and I used a Sizzix Texture Fade embossing folder for the black mat and my Scor-buddy on the white base card. I also added a clear glitter pen for accent with the ribbon.

This one was for another friend that I send out last week.  The tulip image is from Stamping Sensations. It is colored with Copics and is stamped on a Spellbinders Die with a Sizzix Texture Fade for the purple.

Our Angelic Impressions Gathering is in two weeks and I have a few places still open but will need to know today or tomorrow if you are interested in attending.  All of the information is at the top of my blog under 2011 Gathering.  I will not be able to get any sleeping rooms at this time though.  I am so loving the projects we will be making at this gathering ... my theme is practical and simple with class!  I may have to show you a few next week as a sneak peek .... do you want sneak peeks????  It is really going to be fun!!

My family room is done except for moving a large piece of furniture that I need help with .... anyone available to help me???  My decking is in the drive way and he will be putting it on next week.  This is so exciting for me .... it has been a dream of mine for so long.  I feel so guilty doing all of this when I keep hearing all the tragedy going on in the world ..... but it is started now ..... so I need to keep going .... right???  I hope everyone will come over this summer and help me enjoy it!
