May SOTM take three ....

Here is another card using this months SOTM, 'Sunflower'.  I used the bird image again and the words are from 'Trendy Greetings' which is my all time fall back to set for general holiday words. I used a Sizzix Texture Fade Embossing Folder, Copic Markers, Spellbinders Label #1 die and a bow.  It has the same element from yesterday's card but this time I made it into a gatefold card.

There are cards similar to these can be purchases at either Jenniffer & Co in Mentor or Bella Dona in Painesville.  I have my cards in a rack at both of these beauty salons.

Remember you too can add your cards and be entered in for the drawing!  Here are the cards people have sent in so far!  Enjoy!

May SOTM take two ....

Surprise  ..... yes I have a few post scheduled .... two posts two days.  I made this card with the bird image from the May SOTM, 'Sunflowers'.  I colored it with Copic markers, added a Sizzix Textured Fade Embossing Folder for the panel this time and I  was real happy with the way this ribbon matched.  I used Spellbinders Labels #1 die also.  I am really using up scraps and unused parts on my stamping table for this my cards this week.

Be sure to check out the Savvy Blog to see the daily sample .... everyone is doing a great job with Heather's sketch. I tried to follow it but did tweak it a little with the larger last layer with my image and I also switched the side it was on .... but that is the idea of a sketch .... to put your own twist on it.

May SOTM

Yesterday I needed to make up cards and get them to the shops so I made a few with this months SOTM so I could show you all here.  This sis a great set 'Sunflowers' and I have used it in a lot of my cards in the past too.  It is on page 60 of the current Inspiration Book and can be yours for $7.95 with a $30 purchase for the month of May.  This card follows the sketch with a few of my own tweaks.  I used a Sizzix Textured Fade Embossing Folder for the background, scalloped scissors on the white top layer and added a yellow bow. It is colored with Copic markers.  I made cards using images other than the main one and will feature another card tomorrow with this set also.

SOTM Saturday - Filled with Joy

Today on Angelic Impressions is Stamp of the Month Saturday.  The first Saturday of each month I (or fellow DT members)  will showcase the SOTM for The Angel Company and add a Linkz for all of you to add your cards.  If you would like to post these on your blog then email me privately and I will send you a link!

When you purchase $30.00* in merchandise,
Filled With Joy (retail value $15.95) can be yours for a special price until the end of April!
*Net total before shipping and handling and applicable tax.
No other discounts apply.

On my top card I used the set 'Blossoms & Blessings' to add a frame around the words from this set and colored them with my Copic Caboodle C markers. The flowers were masked and partially cut out. It was mounted on matching Caboodle C cardstock from V364.  The white ribbon is colored with the same Copic markers.  The background is scored with my Scor-buddy for added texture.

My second sample uses the set 'Lovely Peony' to frame the words. If you noticed I did cut off the bottom line of this stamp ... it's OK to do this since I can always add it back.  Many times I like the stamp without the source of the quote/scriptures added.  The background is scored with my Scor-buddy and then I ran the same colored makers over the score lines to make a plaid background. I added three gems from V309 Clear Gem Collection.

Now you can add your link to your sample(s) using this set or view others work for inspiration!   Go for it!!

Crop & paper candy

These are some of the paper candy I made for a make-n-take for a crop I was at yesterday. I used TAC Sands of Times SWIC cardstock, three of our nesting scalloped circle punches, a paper piercer and mat, ribbon and mounting cushion. I made a simple card to show one way to use them. The stamp set I used was Playful Pets and I colored them with chalks. I was disappointed not very many people wanted to make them but that is OK. I got a lot of pages done yesterday from my trip. I will start showing them tomorrow I hope.

Remember that TAC is having Double the Fun right now which is double the Hostess Incentives!! It is the best time of the year to stock up on all of your needs and get double the half price items and hostess sets. Also the SOTM Squirrely is only available until the end of Aug at this great price of $9.75.

I got my copy of the New TAC Inspiration Avenue, our fall magalogue yesterday!!!!. It is great!! Wonderful projects samples from the angels!! It features 42 new sets and brought back many of the sets that did not make it in the new base book for fall and winter. I am so waiting until Sept 1 so I can put my order in. I am really loving some of the new sets!! I will let you know when my copies come in the sell. Blessings

Sea Critters #1

This month's Stamp of the month is called Sea Critters and is a great set for summer time cards and scrapbook pages! It is $9.75 with a $30 order until June 23, this is the last day I will be able to send in orders with this catalogue. For the top one I made a background using the shells from the set and Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna, and Burnt Sienna inks on cream cardstock. Then on craft cardstock I stamped the seahorse and colored it with my watercolor pencils and Dove blender. I added some brown card stock and tan Stamper's Floss. The bottom card is a monochromatic card using our Blue tones Monochromatic cardstocks and light blue stampers floss. It is a quick and easy layered card. You could have any message put on either of them. I used the set Ordinary Greetings for both of them.

This past weekend I had my annual sale for my used stamps and some new sets at my home and then at Rubber Stamping Studio. It was great seeing many of you again that I have not seen in a while and catching up. I had a wonderful time at both events. Yesterday I spent some time getting my patio cleaned and put together so I can sit out and visit with nature more. It has been so cold here I haven't had time until now. If the weather is good on Weds, I will be at the Farm parks selling my cards and paper arts. Hope you will be able to stop in and see me! Have a wonderful week. Blessings
