Crop & paper candy

These are some of the paper candy I made for a make-n-take for a crop I was at yesterday. I used TAC Sands of Times SWIC cardstock, three of our nesting scalloped circle punches, a paper piercer and mat, ribbon and mounting cushion. I made a simple card to show one way to use them. The stamp set I used was Playful Pets and I colored them with chalks. I was disappointed not very many people wanted to make them but that is OK. I got a lot of pages done yesterday from my trip. I will start showing them tomorrow I hope.

Remember that TAC is having Double the Fun right now which is double the Hostess Incentives!! It is the best time of the year to stock up on all of your needs and get double the half price items and hostess sets. Also the SOTM Squirrely is only available until the end of Aug at this great price of $9.75.

I got my copy of the New TAC Inspiration Avenue, our fall magalogue yesterday!!!!. It is great!! Wonderful projects samples from the angels!! It features 42 new sets and brought back many of the sets that did not make it in the new base book for fall and winter. I am so waiting until Sept 1 so I can put my order in. I am really loving some of the new sets!! I will let you know when my copies come in the sell. Blessings

Stamp-a-Stack #1

We had a really nice day on Saturday at my annual Spring Stamp-a-Stack. I created 10 card designs and then you can make 10, 20 or 30 of these all occasion cards in one day. I wanted to share a few of my designs here this week.

This one, I think, was every one's favorite!! It is one of my favorite sets from TAC called, 'Beautiful Day'. I used the Scor-pal to make a gate card on Matchmakers white core paper. It is so easy .... just line the card up on the left fence and score at the two dots! Now how easy is that. It meets perfectly in the center of the card when folded every time! Then on the inside front of the card I put the crease from the gate card on 3 5/8", which is the first arrow, and scored at the 4, 4 1/4 and 4 1/2" lines. I did this on both sides and then sanded it from the front side to make the lines pop. I added stamped flowers from the set, colored with watercolor crayons and mounted them on pink Matchmaker paper. Then we glued the top and bottom one on the left side of the card and the middle one on the right to make the cute closing.

On the inside we stamped the birds at the bottom and colored them with watercolor crayons also. I love all of the words from this set and how you can stamp the accent word in a different color so easily! I added grass to them by using little lines of two or three colors of green under them. The words on the front and the back are stamped in Burnt Umber with the scripted word in Claret for accent. Sorry the last picture is a little blurry.

Thanks for stopping by and Be blessed today!!

Playful Parenthesis

When I first saw this set I thought 'how am I going to use this'. Well I did a little playing and can see some great things this could be used for. I am eager to make a mini book with it as the accents on the pages! For the top card i used some left over stripes of paper I had cut from other projects. A good friends suggested I put them all in a container standing up by my cutter and then sorted them for me!! What a friend! And I can say now that I see them all together like that I am putting different color combinations together more. The top card has light pink, hot pink and orange and the bottom one hot pink, orange, and teal. I accented the top card's flower with the Glitter Gel pens and added a polka dot bow. For the bottom own I stamped it twice and cut the flower out of the second one and popped it up so it looks like there are many depths of petals. Both of these cards look so much better in person ... what to come see them?

Well, I am here in SA and the weather is going to be close to 80 on Thurs!!! Love it ... having a grest time with my friends and a long day of travel, but a very eventful day flying. Please keep a close friend of mine, Arden, in your prayers!! Blessings

True Beauty

These are beautiful stamps and will make some beautiful cards too! I couldn't wait to give them a try so I played with them before I left for a few cards I wanted to get in the mail before I left. I used the Glitter Gel pens to color and highlight them and I am very pleased on how they turned out. I just picked up a few scraps of thin stripes of paper I had left from other projects for accents with the color for the first one.

For the second one I use Playful Parenthesis also but turned it around so it looks like a shelf holding the image. On this one I stamped the butterfly a second time, colored it with Glitter Gel Pens and a black Gel and popped it on to of the image for a raised look. I sent this one to a very special person for their 60 th Birthday!

WOW!! Wait until I get home to show off Serendipity!!! TAC's new magalogue!! It is beautiful and has 47 new stamp sets, and new accessories. I will try and post a picture of it soon. I am so thrilled to be apart of TAC and all of the fun we have being angels. It is beautiful here ... warm with flowers blooming. What more could a girl ask for ... warm weather, great company, new stamp sets, and lots of fun!! Blessings

Sneak Peeks!

I do think this is going to be my new favorite set! Look at the way these two cards have such a different presence but both using the same set and technique to make! I used the new set call Beautiful Day which will be available in the first TAC published Magalogue on Feb 1! It will have 48 pages of new product and new incentive sets too! Can't wait to see them. Here I used paper piecing for both of these cards but used a different paper line for each.

The first one I used Uptown Girl WIC trying to archive the look of love for Valentine's Day and the second I used Willoughby SWIC. They really do have a different feel due to the papers, colors and design! Oh, the versatility of stamping! I love it. Sorry the scans of my sets are not so great .... I have a lot to do and not much time to fiddle with them.

To paper piece, you stamp your image in the same color of ink on the foundation paper and on all of the papers you wish to add. I like to put double sided tape on the wrong side of the piecing papers before I cut them out to save time. Then cut out the papers you want to piece on to the image and attach them the foundation paper. It is a great way to get bold coloring without coloring! Blessings
