Missing you

... are you missing me too!! Well I should be home today from my long vacation to Alaska!! I can't wait to tell you all about it.

This is a really cute cup that can be used in so many different ways. It is from the set called Skinny Birds. Here I used a Copic marker and made it into a dotted mug, sometimes I color it, sometimes I put stripes on it and sometimes I paper piece it. The words on the front are from a Level C Hostess set called Thinking of you. And the words inside are from Great Greetings.

Remember the Double the Fun special is going on now so contact me tomorrow if you are interested in getting the best options! Blessings

Isn't he cute!! This little bear is from TAC's new set Bears & Bubbles. I colored him with my watercolor crayons and waterbrush and added the Clear Glitter pen to the bubbles for extra sparkle! The papers are from my scraps of the monochromatic yellow/orange collection. The largest panel is scored in an uneven plaid for detail and then I accented the bottom of the card also with the Scor-pal. All of the words are from the new set Great Greetings.

Hope you are enjoying your month of Aug. Blessings

Monocromatic Star Book

A great friend of mine, Pat, made a star book last January for the Club Med swap at Retreat and I was lucky enough to get it!! She made her's with the theme of San Antonio since that is where we all were. Well, I took her idea and made my own here and will offering it for classes in Sept and Oct. I used one of the packs of Monochromatic Cardstocks on page 119 for the new TAC's Inspiration Book. Mine is Blue Greens but you can select any of the colors listed as long as I know at least 2 weeks in advance to order it for you. I used the set Simply Devine stamp set for mine but you can use any set(s) you would like. The top photo is the book closed .. it is very simple ...
... but when you open it you see lots of pictures and stamped image and you can journal in it also! I used my nature photos in mine, but you can select and BRING YOUR OWN PHOTOS. The photos should be no wider than 2.5" or less is better and no taller than 3". It is easier to put in photo which are vertical or portrait.
You can crop your photos or punch out parts of the image if you want. Please bring to class: Scor-pal, cutter, bone folder, lots of adhesive, your photos, and scissors. Here is a photo of two pages together, one even has a pop out!

You will be able to use the scrapes from cutting the pages to decorate your pages, and the rest to the pack you get to take home to make more. You will be doing all of your own cutting for this class! Here is what the book looks like from the top when it is open and tied together. Cost is $20 and I need RSVP's at least 2 weeks in advance.

Here are the dates I have planned at this time. Let me know if you are interested in attending. Only 5 per class please!!
  • Sept 29 from 6-9 at my home in Painesville
  • Oct 2 from 1-4 at my home in Painesville (one opening)
  • Oct 4 from 2-5 at my home in Painesville
  • Oct 8 from 6-9 at my home in Painesville (three openings)

Stationary Studio Classes

Here is one of the new classes I will be teaching in Aug and Sept besides my Monthly Mojo classes. On the top you see the Stationary Studio all closed and how it would sit on your desk ... but the next pictures is what you see when you open it up and ready to send a card or note to someone special! In the class you will get a complete pack of More Mimi SWIC which is TAC's new double sided cardstock. You get to select the paper you want for the inside and outside and which tags you want to use and the rest you get to take home. Inside the studio are 6 cards with stamped envelops, stamped tags, a mini lined notebook, a pocket for postage stamps, a pocket for mailing labels, a loop to hold a pen, and an attach unlined book for notes or to do lists. You will get complete directions to make it and all supplies inside except for the postage stamps, address labels and pen.

Bring with you to class: Cutter for 12 x 12 paper, Scor-pal, adhesive(s), bone folder, scissors, pen you want in the studio, and scissors. I used the stamp set Watercolor Plants for the images and BooKoo Blessings for the words. If you have a stamp set you want to use let me know before hand or bring it along if you own it. Classes are limited to 4 per class so you have the room and time to complete the studio. Cost is $25.

These will make great gifts or a treat for yourself!! They are not hard to make but take a little time and room. Here are the dates I have available, if you want to the class but are unable to come on these dates let me know and we can work it out. Double the 'Angel' Fun!!!

Today I am sharing TWO great promotions and angel cards! Both of the cards are using the new set called 'Hear the Angels'. Aren't they cute!! I colored them with my watercolor crayons and Nija water brush and then added the Clear Gelly Glitter pen for accent. They really sparkle!! The 'congratulations' on the front is from the set Trendy Greetings and the inside words are from a Level C Hostess set called Thinking of You. The backgrounds of the cards i used my Scor-pal on. How did I make cards before the Scor-pal??? I really like the texture and look of using the Scor-pal for backgrounds.
Now speaking for Hostess sets ... would you like to have some of the NEW ones???? Well you can!! TAC just announced the special below which will make it easy for you to earn them. Set up a workshop or book show with me with at least $100 of orders and you can start to collect the benefits!! But the catch is, the earlier you get your order in the more and higher value the BONUS ITEMS are. Get together with one friend and each put in a $50 order and you will each get a hostess Level A set and half price item .. see how easy it is!! My days are limited for workshops to contact me TODAY if you are interested in hosting a party. Please contact me before June 28 if you are interested!!

More Spunky Sprite Girls

As I promised, here are two more cards made with the Spunky Sprite Girls from the Angel Company's New Inspirational Book. If you do not have your book yet, let me know and we can make arrangements. They are $5 and I will give you a coupon for $5 to use on your first order in the next three months. For the top card, I scored the white background in a diamond pattern with my Scor-pal and then the purple layer with the same pattern but a smaller diamond. For the top card the words on the front are from Ordinary Greetings and the inside Beyond Measure, which is Level B Hostess set. For the card on the bottom, I used a new set called Great Greetings for the inside words. This is a must have set!!! Great words for both the inside and outside of your cards. Both are colored with Copic Markers.
Check out this months SOTM here. And then go see the wonderful samples with them here. Mary Leeson is one of my angels and she did a wonderful job using these arrows in creative ways!!

TAC™ SOTM
www.theangelcompany.net

I had a wonderful day yesterday stamping with my great friends, the TAC-ee ladies, at our monthly CSWM. I made 30 stamped cubes getting ready for more Open Markets this summer. I am at Lake Farm Parks on Wed from 3-6, some Fridays in Euclid at the old Memorial Jr high, and will be at Garfield's home in Mentor on Aug 14 & 21 from 4-8. Those are all weather permitting. I can not set up a booth if it is rainy or looks like rain. Paper and rain do not do well together. I am having a lot of fun at these and have meet a lot of nice people. You can get your fresh produce and craft items .... and my fav is the kettle corn!! Hope to see some of your there. Blessings

Spunky Sprite Girls

When I first saw these Spunky Sprite girls & boys sets, I wasn't too sure I liked them. But after I have played with them for a while I am really liking them. They are so easy to color. Here I used my watercolor crayons and waterbrush. They also would look great paper pieced! I used the Catelynne Paper Collection for the bottom of this card. And torn paper, a stipple brush and a light blue ink for the sky. I of course used the Clear Gelly Glitter Pen on the girl. I so love the light accent of sparkle that added. Below is a close up of the girl.
Yesterday evening and this morning I have making lots of cards. My stock is getting too low for my markets, fairs, and the store for selling. If the weather holds this weekend, I will take a table outside and take pictures so I can share them with you. It is in the 60's this weekend here in Cleveland, it feels like fall!! Have a great weekend! Blessings

Seagulls 'Hit the Beach'

So here is the same card as yesterday but this time I colored them as seagulls. Ya know here on Lake Erie we have lots of seagulls ... and someone else told me they look like something else so I will have to make on looking like ____ too! But later ....
I taught my first July Mojo last night and it was fun! I think they like the cards and new sets too. I still have openings for Sunday at 2:00 and a few openings on Monday at 6 PM. If you can not make these and still want to take the class let me know and if I two or more interested at the same time we can book another one. I also sell the PDF files for the class so email me if you are interested. Blessings

Hit the Beach

This cute stamp is another new image from The Angel Company's 2009-10 Inspiration Book. It is called Hit the Beach. I couldn't decide if they were chicks or seagulls so I made one of each with the same design. Tomorrow you will get to see the other one. The picture looks a little yellow and I am not sure why but it is really on a white background.
Here is a close up of the image. Notice I outlined them with the gray Tombow marker to give them a little more depth.

Yesterday i was at the Lake Farm Park's Open Market and it was a great day to be outside and enjoying the weather and the people. I meet the nicest people at the market and come come with great food too! I have a booth with a tent!! Yeah Rita I got one and figured out how to get it there and set up! But of course the great people at the market all help each other since they all know it is so much easier to put up a tent with 4 people. If you are able stop in next Wed from 3-6 PM. It is free to attend but I am sure you will want some of the great foods and craft they have. If the weather is nice ... I do not attend in rain ... you can even shop at my booth. I will not be there the following two weeks so come again on the 12th of Aug. Blessings to all!

July Mojo Classes

Well, no sneak peaks this month you get the best of the best!! I am so loving this rose card and flamingo cards, I needed to show them off. If you are not familiar with my Monthly Mojo classes, I design 6 cards which will get you ready for your next months events. I try to put different styles, occasions, colors and types of cards in the class as well as try to teach or refresh new techniques or ideas for you also. This month I focused on new stamp sets, Walnut inks, and pink but not on all of the cards!! Class included full directions with scanned picture(s), envelopes and help from me while you are working.

Cost is $15 and all papers will be cut and ready for you. Please call or email me if you are interested in attending. If you are not local, I do send out a PDF file for these classes via e-mail if you are interested for $8 a month or three months for $22. I still have openings this month in some of my classes if you are interested:
  • Thurs 7/16 at my home in Painesville at 6 PM (not sure yet how many)
  • Friday 7/17 at my home in Painesville at 1 PM (one opening)
  • Sunday 7/19 at my home in Painesville at 2 PM (just added)
  • Monday 7/20 at my home in Painesville at 6 PM (just added)
My Open House was a great fun for all! I think everyone who attended got to see some great eye candy (from seminar), got their new TAC's Inspiration Book, sample some of the new stamps with the make-n-takes, got to see some of my new class projects, and had some great food. If you still need your copy of the Inspiration Book let me know. I still have some available or visit here to see some of the new sets I have selected as my favorites. Have a blessed day!!!

A new set from Mabelle!

The Angel Company's exclusive designer Mabelle has done it again with this beautiful set, Fairy Birthday. I love the words and the images both !!. I used colored pencils to color her and added our new Clear Gelly Glitter Pen for accents and for her wings. The strip at the her feet is the color code on the edge of the paper, which most people throw again. I love to add these to my designs. I used TAC's New More Mimi, DOUBLE SIDED paper collection for the printed papers. Notice how I added a fold on each of the layers under the words so the under side of the paper would show. I also used TACs newest Scor-pal tool, the Scor-Bug!! It made the embossed dots in between the vertical scored lines on the left of the card. Be a blessing to someone today!
