Marvelous You 2

This summer was the first and I hope not the last time, to see a live bear in the wild up close and personal!!  So this set had a very speical meaning to me when I first saw it in TAC's Fall supplement.  I have made other cards with it as you can SEE HERE, but this time I wanted to color it with my Copic markers and see what I could do with it.  I love it even more colored!!  I colored four of the images the same one morning and then set out to making cards in one of my favorite ways to create ..... with my scrapes!!  Yes all I did was pull out scrapes that matched the colors I had used and then played.  Playing is so important to people of all age ... weather it is with crafting supplies, computers, plants, food or what ever .... YES adults need to play too!!!  Some of us feel like that sounds silly but how else are you going to keep your youth, have fun, escape, feel creative, solve a problem or release stress unless you play like you are young .... So EVERY ONE NEEDS TO PLAY!!

The paper I used for the fist two cards is Willoughby SCIC from TAC.  

Here is how I stamped the inside of the first card.  All of the word images you see in this post are included in the post but the tree images is a retired stamp.

On this card I added purple ribbon and used mounting cushion under the image to give it a raised look.

There are my favorite words in the set!

Here are the Copic markers I used to color the image ... yes there is only one E (brown) used .... since there is shading in the stamp that acts as the darkest color of brown.  I stamped it with Memento Brown ink.  Then I was able to shade one side of it by coloring over it a second time to give it a shaded look ... when I practiced coloring this image with more than one color of brown on the bear it was way too much and it looked more appealing to me with just the one E.

The next two cards I used scrapes from TAC's Natalie SWIC and dark brown paper.  Notice I used three of the color codes from the paper as an accent piece on the top card.

On the last cards I tied the ribbon in three half knots at the bottom before it was attached to the card.  The little colored embellishments on these cards are something I make my self and use as embellishments.

Scrapbooking page

I started my personal scrapbook for my cruise and am so excited with the first page of it. All of us had our picture taken on the cruise the first formal night and I am so glad I decided to get it. I think is a great beginning page for the adventure. The little boat in the upper left corner was gifted to my by a great stamper, Joan, as a start for my book. It is so cute since you push on it and the lights of the boat go on!! I used TAC Penelope SWIC tags for this page with matching white core cardstock. Notice how I put the score lines with the Scor-bug lines on the left side and sanded them for detail. But the fun part is that it is in interactive page!!

Many of these are postcards but some are my photos. I could get the postcards and they did not have any people in. This is under the flip up page.

Under the group photo are these pictures of the boat. And I did the little postcards as a waterfall of photos with the name of each location on the boat showing with the postcard. I am loving this!!

On the bottom of the main group photo, I put one of TAC Dated Disk Stamps with the date on it.

Wait till you see....

... what is inside of this cigar box!!! At The Angel Company's Club Med luncheon we all make a larger prop and exchange them. We all get so many great ideas from seeing every one's work!! Well, this year I was the luckiest angel of all!! I received Shirley Hotop's miniature cigar box stamping studio!! It is outstanding!!! The workmanship, creativity, and time she put into it is amazing. I am so thrilled to have received this at the exchange!! Thanks you Shirley!! It is a complete little stamping studio!! She has everything in it a stamper would use ....

... mini sponge, ribbons, eyelets, paper (she used TAC's Miss Moxie SWIC), buttons, pencils etc.

even on the shelf above the table she has more stamping supplies. Can you see how she put the shelf up with the metal hinges!!

This is the part that really go to me. She has a little garbage can with TAC's rubber in it!! How complete is that!!And realistic too!!


On the inside of the top of the cigar box she put a board up with samples of cards using all TAC images!!

Here is a look at the complete inside top of the box!! It has a special place in my personal studio now for everyone to see. I wanted to wait and show this until after my Open House so my local customers could see it in person first. You do not get the same impression with pictures as you do in real life. June Mojo - Sneak peaks!

It is time for some sneak peeks for my June Mojo classes next week!! If you haven't signed up yet be sure to do that real soon since I have some really different cards for you this month. We will be making 6 cards one of which is for a gift card, money or check. They all can be used for sending for the Month of July. The top peek is using the June SOTM, Sea Critters, on a front step card using our Monochromatic cardstock. The bottom peek is my new side step card I will be teaching for the first time! And know you will all love it! The possibilities are endless! I used one of the Spring into June sets Fruit Collages. I am so loving that set. I used Sands of Times CSWIC paper on this card.

Red Raspberries Collage

Here are more of the Fruit Collage images. Here I made them into red raspberries. Oh how I love red raspberries ... especially with chocolate!! I used the Miss Moxie SWIC papers for the accent paper and tag and BooKoo Blessings for the words. I used Copic markers for coloring and I can not make a card without using my Scor-pal for the background. Here I tried a new one .. every half inch I only scored parts of the line ..... like a large dashed look. I love the way it looks here. Here is a close up of the coloring and ribbon.
Friday I was with a friend in Middlefield, we had an amazing lunch and some great shopping at my favorite jewelery store!! Then went plant shopping and sat in backyard with a glass of wine. What a wonderful day!! Yesterday i attended a wonderful benefit for the FHYC which was a silent auction and salad bar lunch. Everyone on the committee brought a different salad to share and it was heavenly with all of the different kinds!! I was thinking I was not going to win anything I put tickets into .... but then I ended up winning a wheel barrel with great stuff inside and a hammock chair!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I really wanted the porch fireplace but I am thrilled and figures God saved me from burning my house down! Then last night I got busy with the flowerbed ... ouch I am sore today .. but it is starting to look great. Lots more to do thought. Blessings

Fruit Collages

Happy June everyone!!! It is time to Spring into June with a beautiful new stamp set called Fruit Collages. It is one of three that you can purchase with a $30 order for a discounted price, only $10.50, until the end of June. I love this one with it's realistic berries! I made a card with the strawberry image colored with Copic markers. The words are from BooKoo Blessings. I used Miss Moxie SWIC for the printed paper and the little flowers are the side color indicator that most people throw away .. but don't they make a great accents. I will show another one tomorrow with these used in a different way. I used my Scor-pal to make a diagonal background and added ribbon of course. Notice the stamped envelope ... I hate sending out naked envelopes. Here is a close up of the stamped image. Oh I also added a little glitter gel pen to it for the shine also.
Yesterday I had to go shopping for a new lawnmower .. yes 20+ years with the same one is a long time but hey ... I found one almost just like it!! I love it since it is easier for me to start and lighter to push. And it brought back the joy of cutting grass again!! Is that possible??? Yuki have you cut grass lately????? LOL

I was hoping to be able to attend the Open Market today at the Farm parks but the rain is going to stop me today. I guess I will stay home and get ready for my Stamping Garage sale on June 12 from 3-8, here at my home in Painesville. Be sure to stop by, I will have new stamps and used stamps both for sale plus a few other things. Beautiful Friendships

I love this set called 'Beautiful Friendships' from the Spring into May special with The Angel Company. It is only $10.50 with a $30 until the end of the month. It has a modern look with the polka dots but yet is realistic with the animals, and the words in the set are great too. I was playing with it the other day and here are a few of the things I made with it. I give a free gift card with all of my orders on Etsy and I needed a few more. So I made these with scrapes of 2 x 4" cardstock, my Scor pal, which is my best friend, and a few other stamps. I hope my customers will enjoy them.
In this next card I did some detailed scoring with my Scor-Pal on the top only of the card and then stamped the flower at the bottom from 'Fleur Birdies' in nude ink. And who said that ovals do not fit into circles .. I think it looks kinda nice on the top of the card with the birds. Do you?
For this one I used the 'Script' background stamp with the nude ink for the back of the card. Then added a scrape of Amberly Grace SWIC with a ribbon. I then stamped the deer in the nude ink and the words in Burnt Umber over top on the scalloped punched circle. I added more detail with edging the cards and circle with the nude ink.


And for the last one I used the words only from this set in the smaller punched circle with Noir ink. I added the flower again with the black ink at the bottom. Did I tell you all of these cards were made from left overs I had laying on my table? I love to create that way .... it really makes me get out of my box. Now you should try it too! Stamp-a-Stamp #2

I have not been feeling well this week and my energy is low so I have not been able to stamp much. But I have been able to be on computer some between naps. I am hoping I will be back energized and stamping soon. Today I am going to share a few more of the cards we made at my annual SAS a week ago.

They are both from this month's stamp specials Spring into May. The top set is my favorite in this promotion ... of course it would be ..... it has a nature theme. That is what I really love ... besides stamping. It is the set called 'Beautiful Friendships' . I used Sands of Time CSWIC for the printed and solid cardstocks and added a bow. It is a simple and sophisticated design using Burnt Umber ink. This one was actually a reject from my SAS. The night before I decided to change this card out for a different design but still wanted to share it. I used the set called 'A Kind of Gratitude' for the background. The bird and words are from the set "Pea Pickn'. I paper pieced the body of the bird and then colored the flower, bill and eye with colored pencils. I used a Designer paper from TAC for the printed paper.

Both of these sets plus 'Hello Sunshine' are discounted this month with a $30 order. They may not be int he new catalogue coming out in June either so be sure to get your orders in to get them in May! Be a blessing today.

New download on TAC website

The Angel Company posted a new FREE download sheet that matches our Angelee & Natalee papers. They are a sheet of tags that coordinate with our punches. Isn't that a great idea!!! Check all of the free downloads out here.

I used my Scor-pal and made some textured backgrounds on a cream card stock and added some scrapes of paper that were in my scrape basket to make all five of these cards in less than 30 minutes. I used the same stamp from 'Heartfelt', a Level B hostess set for all of them and added ribbon and embellishements. So what do you think??? I think they look pretty classy and wow were they easy!

There are two tags on this one also. I added a button with a ribbon through it for embellishments on this one and check out the envelope ... I love to send stamped envelopes. They really can cheer people up when they see them!! So much better than getting bills in the mail.


I do think this square and long rectangular tags are my favorite!! I cut the third tag with 'smile' on it in half to add to this card also. So basically this is three FREE tags and a ribbon. Love it!!

For this last one, I am not sure you can see it in the picture but the front of the card is cut off and the tag is mounted on other paper at the top. The solid purple paper is really on the inside of the card.

Reminder Open House

Here are the samples you will get to make using some of the new stamps from TAC's new Serendipity! TAC has some great promotions going on now and for the next three months and I will have those there for you to see and samples for my classes. I have some uncut retired TAC stamps I will have to sell, some TAC paper collections, TAC sticker sheets & some of my photo cards there to sell. I also will be doing demos on watercolor crayons and the Scor-Pal for those who would like to learn how to use them or refresh their memories. It will be a fun, relaxing and creative time. File boxes

As I promised, here are two new items I will be selling this weekend at my craft show. They are 4 x 6" file boxes that I made completely from paper (they are not altered art). The first one is an all purpose one using my favorite Soar with it Collection from TAC, Willoughby SCIC, and the stamp set Summer Elegance. The second one is for the holidays using TAC's Reece SWIC and the stamp set Holly Flourishes. You can see that the inside have actual files for organizing coupons, recipes, mail, pictures, notes, contact information, customer's information or what I originally made it for was the directions for all of my classes since I print them on a quarter sheet of paper. These files would not be as easy to make without the Scor-pal since the scoring and folding on these must be very accurate. A smaller version of these will be shown on an upcoming Scor-pal newsletter so keep a watch out for it. The Zip Dry glue is also a must for making these since it drys clean, dries quickly, is strong, and the extra can be rubbed off. Well, I still have a few more things to get ready for tomorrow. Where does the time go???

To get everyone updated .. my Stamp-a-Stack was a great success!! There were 17 stampers who made a total of 380 cards in four hours!! I think everyone had a great time and had a relaxed day of stamping. It was so much fun. As for my craft show last weekend. All I can say is WOW!!!! I had the highest sales in my craft show experience! I sold out (or have one left) of at least four items, which are my top items and I thought I had made enough for the whole craft show season. Well, I have a lot of work to get done in the next two weeks to get ready for my next shows. But it is really fun work and customers came and gave me more ideas etc. I especially like it when last years customers come back and share with me what they did with the items they purchased the year before and how much they like them. I feel like I have made a difference in there life .. even though it is a small one. I saw so many people I know, it was so much fun seeing everyone and meeting new people also!!

OK you are here not to read all of this but to get more ideas. I made a few mini flip out albums like the Halloween one I had show. I started with a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and scored it at 6" in both directions with my Score-Pal. (Great tool!!) Then cut one of the scores to the center and folded it up. After it is folded I like to cut off about 1/2" from each side so they are now even. When you fold them there is bulk from the other sections and this makes the sides nice and flat and even. Then I decorated the pages with my favorite set Always Remember, Friendship Strips, flower and oval punches, ribbon, dotted Swiss Cuttlebug embossing folder, tags and pull outs and Reese Soar with it Collection. These are easy and fun to make!

Last Tues (election day) I played hooky in the afternoon since we had 70 degree plus weather! It was great to get to go for a walk at the Arboretum with friends. Then I worked a few hours on Wed, Thurs and Friday afternoon (between stamping) getting my leaves done. But the leaves had not all fallen yet. Then the temperatures started to drop ... sleet ... rain and then this morning I woke up to about 2" of snow!! That is northeast Ohio for you, quick change of seasons. I still have leaves on the treas. Yuck!! Oh .. but no one told me I would get MORE birds coming to my feeder .... and more different types!!! I really enjoy watching them. There are so many more there this morning, it is do much fun watching them all. I need to get going and get some work done. Have two big workshops this week and lots of stamping and cleaning to do. My stamp room is unbelievable ..... I am not sure I will ever see the tables again. Have a great day and blessings.

Accordian file from Diamond Island

I can not believe how long it has been since I posted. I guess other things have been on my mind for a while but will try and get back on track! Last Sunday I was suppose to post this project that I shared with my angel friends at Diamond Island. The directions will be in the Fall/Winter Scor-pal zine so you can all make one too. If you haven't checked out the Summer zine you have to! It has some great projects in it! The insides have an accordion file to keep 3" note cards , tags or any small items you would like. I used TAC's Angelee SWIC for the printed cardstock and green Matchmakers cardstock for the base on one, Penelope SWIC for the second and Willoughby SWIC for the last one.

I will me introducing a larger one at my gathering this year, Oct 3-4. It will be large enough to hold a quarter sheet directions for the Inspiring Idea sheets offered by TAC. If you are an angel who is interested in attending please let me know before Sept 1 so you can get registered! I may be opening it up to others at that time if I do not have all of the places filled. I have been busy making projects for this event, writing directions and cutting out the supplies. It will be in Montrose, OH. I am really excited about the projects so far, and wish I could start sharing them here. But I would like to keep them a surprise .... OH!! ... maybe I could give everyone a sneak peak soon! Blessings
