Open House

Here is another of the cards I sent to TAC for possible cattie but unfortunately this set was retired.  I was so sad since it was a great set to add to other sets as background or extra imagaes for inside or the envelopes.  This is red cardstock with white circles punched out, stamped, colored and then added on top.  I love the fresh sharp look of this card.

I will be hosting my annual TAC Open House on July 25 from 2-7 and then again July 24 from 4-8.  If you are local and able to attend let me know by July 20 which day you will be coming so I can have supplies ready.  I am hoping to have it outside on my back deck weather permitting.  It is so nice back there!

Happy July 4th to everyone!

AI Gathering Sneak Peaks .... two

The count down is on!!! Next weekend is our Angelic Impressions Gathering and I am really excited to share all of the projects with you.  This is a card from a series of three which show you how to use the same type of fold in different ways for different occasions.  This is the baby card from the series.  They all use the set 'A Little Something' .... which by the way is on the retirement list.  I will miss this set since it is so versatile with the ring of words, it as a great background stamp, small images to go into the circle and of course words too.

These are the other two we will be making.  If you are interested in this set be sure to get it ordered this week since the price will go up next week!

The electrical work has been completed for my hot tub now thanks to my niece's husband and their son. I am so blessed to have them in my family!!!  So as soon as the deck board are complete so I can get to the hot tub I can fill it and start to use it ..... wouldn't it be great if after the weekend I could come home to a relaxing hot tub!  We will see how it goes this week.

Be sure to check out the cards on Savvy Blogs 'A card a day for the month of May'!

Christmas Cards with Cricut 2

These two  cards are made .... believe me or not ..... with the cartridge Tie the Knot.  I got it so I can help my long time  friend with her daughters shower and wedding this next year.  Then I saw this great snowflake on it.  I cut it out at 4" and then rubbed Stickles on it so it shines.  It has a nice glow going.  Then I found a snow swirl retired stamp by TAC and stamped it at the bottom with matching pink ink to the snowflake paper.  I also stamped it on the inside and on the envelope.  It is great to be able to use your stamps to accent the theme of your card's focal point on the inside and envelope.  The colors of this card is so non-traditional in the pink and brown but I love them!

More wine bottles

These wine bottle boxes have become a real good seller for me at my shows so I made up some for the holidays.  I used retired TAC Christmas paper for them and most of the stamps are retired also.  They are really bright and cheery so I thought I would share them with you this morning.

This weekend I will be in a TAC blog hop for fall so I hope you all come back to see all of the great ideas other angels.

I want to share how excited and proud I am to be a Cleveland Cavs fan!!  It was so exciting to see our new team last night beat the Eastern Conference champs and our rivals (they also beat the Heat the night before so it made it even more exciting) the Boston Celtics. They looked great in their new uniforms and did a great job exiquiting our new team style which I love since it feel like they are really playing basketball now instead of just holding the ball and waiting for the right time to strike.  Ok enough said .... they look like they will give us an excitng season which I am so thankful for.

Another beautiful day here ..... and I need to finish up more WWW books and then to a dinner put on my Painesville for all of the vendors from the Farmer's Market this summer.  It will be fun.

My Books

Here is another new item I will be selling for the first time this Saturday at St. Mary's in Chardon. It is a little book I call 'My Books". You can keep track of the books you have read or want to read and never have to try and remember the correct title or author of the book. It makes it so much easier to share your favorite books with others. I used my Cricut and Gypsy with the cartridge A Child's Life for the cuts. I used my Bind-it-All of bind and put the book together.
I
I made a matching bookmark that slides over the page of the book with a poem about Kindness on in. It is a retired sets from TAC.
The pages I printed on my computer with three entries on each side with 20 sheets so there are 12o entries in the book, printed on both sides. The back of the book I attached a fabric covered rubber band to hold the bookmark, completely close off the book, or use as a book mark for the last entry in this book. I am really excited to show it this weekend. I do have some of these in my Etsy Store if you are interested in getting one for yourself. Have a great weekend! Blessings

Frosty Memories

I have been going to town making items to sell for my biggest craft show of the year this weekend. I great friend of mine gifted me with some gorgeous papers and I just had to make this book from one of the sheets!! The book is 8.5 by 8.5 and I used the Bind it all to put it together. All of the decorative paper in the book is from ONE SHEET of 12 x 12 paper!! Yes, I cut it in such a way it is used throughout the book. The cover was the first cut and all I added was the title!! Isn't it beautiful.
Then I cut the parts left in such a way as to accent the edges of the pages of the book. I used some of my retired TAC images for the embellishments.
This is the upper right hand corner of the paper and I put the stamp 'brrrr' on the top for accent.
Here is another corner with the sled. The opposite top corners are the over half of this square and they have swirls and snow in the paper so they accent to top of the pages.
Some of the edges I stamped snow flakes and added one of my retired TAC images of a deer to them in Charcoal ink.
This is the inside front cover and I cut the parts of the paper with the trees into two pieces, this one and one on the opposite page edge. I added ribbons to the binding and it was done! It looks so much better in person since it has glitter, shimmer and sparkles in the paper. I love it!

This weekend, tonight and all day Saturday I will be at St. Gab's in Mentor for their craft show. Next weekend at Lake Catholic HS in Mentor and the following weekend at St. Pasquale's in Richmond Heights. Stop in to visit if you can. I love to see people I know.

Have a wonderful weekend and blessings to all.

Fruit Collages

Happy June everyone!!! It is time to Spring into June with a beautiful new stamp set called Fruit Collages. It is one of three that you can purchase with a $30 order for a discounted price, only $10.50, until the end of June. I love this one with it's realistic berries! I made a card with the strawberry image colored with Copic markers. The words are from BooKoo Blessings. I used Miss Moxie SWIC for the printed paper and the little flowers are the side color indicator that most people throw away .. but don't they make a great accents. I will show another one tomorrow with these used in a different way. I used my Scor-pal to make a diagonal background and added ribbon of course. Notice the stamped envelope ... I hate sending out naked envelopes. Here is a close up of the stamped image. Oh I also added a little glitter gel pen to it for the shine also.
Yesterday I had to go shopping for a new lawnmower .. yes 20+ years with the same one is a long time but hey ... I found one almost just like it!! I love it since it is easier for me to start and lighter to push. And it brought back the joy of cutting grass again!! Is that possible??? Yuki have you cut grass lately????? LOL

I was hoping to be able to attend the Open Market today at the Farm parks but the rain is going to stop me today. I guess I will stay home and get ready for my Stamping Garage sale on June 12 from 3-8, here at my home in Painesville. Be sure to stop by, I will have new stamps and used stamps both for sale plus a few other things. Then I will be taking everything that is left to Rubber Stamping Studio for there New to You sale on June 13 from 10-3. Hope to see a lot of you at one or the other. Hope you all have a blessed day.

TAC retiring stamp list

... and they are 25% off too!! If you would like to view all of the retiring set click here. I have them all posted on MY Products on my TAC web site. You can click on the image to see them larger on that page also. The prices on that page already reflect the 25% off. Please remember though if you want to take advantage of the perks to please e-mail me your order.

I love some of them so much I put them into my Stamp-a-Stack last Saturday. We had such a great day stamping and creating. Everyone needs a day like that now and then. This set is a keeper for sure! I used 'Mountain Scenery' for this sympathy card with the current set 'With Sympathy' for the words. I love the tree in this one and have used it so much.

For the second one I used the Scor-pal and scored every 1 1/2" on the diagonal in both directions and then stamped one of the 'Fantasy Flourishes' stamp in black in the diamonds that were formed. The words are from the Level A Hostess set called 'Feel Better'. What I live about both of these sets is that you can use them for males or females and for any occasion by just changing the words.

It is a beautiful day here and I hope to get a lot done in my stamping room. Need to clean it up so I can create some more! Be blessed today.

Christmas Gift Card Holder

This week just flew by .. my computer crashed and I could not use it for a few days but then I had an angel come over and help me out! Thanks Dan! But I did not have my printer until last night and guess what .. I fixed that myself. YES ME!! Well, I had two wonderful large workshops this week, worked hard on making new items for my upcoming craft fairs, and got part of my craft room cleaned. Yes .. that really kept me busy.

Here is one of the projects I have been making. (This is the project I was making.) It really started as a mistake .. I cut the paper the wrong way after I had folded this project but then discovered it was really a good idea. See mistakes are good in paper crafting.
Here are some quick directions:
  1. Start with a 6 x 12 piece of card stock
  2. With your fabulous Scor-pal, score the longest side at 3", 6" and 9"
  3. Score the shortest side at 2" for the pocket
  4. Fold the 2" side up and use red line or Scor-tape on the ends to hold it securely
  5. The fold on the other score lines like an accordion
  6. I glued the middle two sections together, but you do not have to it can be open
  7. Then decorate. The finished book is 3" x 4".
I used Holly Flourishes, my Big Shot and the Christmas die, ribbon, Stickles, colored pencils, mounting tape, Vintage Holidays (retired) and Fun Bet (retired). The 'for you' is from Trendy Holiday Tags. It is a stamp with two lines ... the the great thing about The Angel Company's stamps is that you can cut them and use them how ever you would like. So, I needed it to be one line, so I cut it. I can now use it either way. I made three IOU cards for the pockets and the other pocket can have a gift card put in or money, or if you want to give more gift cards, put all of the IOU's on one pocket. This came from ideas I heard from my last craft show from my gift card book that sold out. I hope to post more of these this week. Hope you like it! I will have some at my next few shows and will be selling them at Jenniffer & Co Salon also. Blessings

Sample - Build a flower

Wow!! In less than a week the New 2008-09 TAC Inspiration Book will be released at our National Seminar! I can hardly wait! It will have new stamps, papers, kits and accessories and New Hostess sets and GWP sets!! So start planning your FUNshop(TM) now so you can get your free copy and be the first to share the book with your friends! Here is a sample of a card I made in less than 10 minutes from start to finish! I used the Scor -pal to score a rectangle on the paper the size of the stamp. I cheated .. I put the stamp on the acrylic for the right size, laid the acrylic on wrong side of the paper (inside of the card) and traced it with a light pencil line. Then I put in on the Scor-pal to line up the markings and score. It worked out to be the perfect size! It is accented with the corners with Miss Moxie Soar with It Collection. And it is ready to drop in the mail. I love it when the flowers and stems are different stamps so you can stamp then in the correct color. This new set is available NOW (see last post) and I can put orders in for you from this current Inspiration Book until June 17. Be sure to check out the retired list and specials too! Enjoy your day!!

Chocoholic ... are YOU???

I just had to share with your this gift I made for a friend of mine. I used Winchester SWIC from TAC and the matching Card stock. The sets I uses are Chocoholic (retired set), Whimsical Greetings and Ornamental Snowflakes. Can you tell I recycled many different things??? Their is a Victoria Secret Bag and a jar from Target! The gift includes a jar filled with chocolate (of course!), chocolate mint oil for a burner, and a Chocolate Root candle (I love Root candles!!)

I was running out of the printed paper so I started to use tags for decorations. The top of the candle is a round tag, the label on the candle is a tag with a ribbon run through and the label on the oil is a tag laced up in the back.

The best part my picture would not take .. I was in a hurry taking the pictures since I was going over to her home for scary movie night ... is the inside of the bag. There is a phrase on both sides of the inside that says 'Give me sexy" and I changed it to 'Give me (image of a chocolate kiss)'. I thought that was cute!!

Tomorrow I have a few special pictures to share with you so I hope you will have time to stop back. Enjoy you cooking, wrapping and cleaning day before the holidays. Blessings

Christmas Pins

I was inspired to make these Holiday Pins after seeing one with a similar design made by Avis Anderson. These are made on Bazill chips with paper over top. The one is a blue card stock which I ran through my Big Shot with the Coluzzel snowflake embossing plate. The other has TAC's now discontinued Vintage Holiday paper on it. The holly is from one of my favorite Christmas sets Christmas Fun and the snowman is from Fun Filled Holidays. I have added Stickles for an extra touch and sparkle. I used the Crop-a-Dile to punch a hole in the chipboard ... it is so easy with this great tool! Then tied on a few ribbons. One of these will be made in my Nov & Dec classes for Gifts & Ornaments Class. Yes, I am making these for the my craft shows too. Tomorrow I will show a few updated pictures from the layouts in my Halloween book using my Big Shot. Hope you enjoy .. and be sure to note all of your abundance today. Blessings

Retired list is out!

The Angel Company just released their retired sets for this year! I will miss some of them ...... so I have decided to honor them by showcasing them in my blog! I have also posted my favorite ones on my TAC site for you to see. This one is Roses Whisper, a set of 12, which is a bold set with wonderful roses, leaves, and words. Here I used VersaMagic Chalk pads to stamp the Rose and leaves on white card stock and then shaded with the Jewel Tones Shimmer Chalks. It is such a soft look! The back round on the Matchmakers paper is using a fun technique we learned last year at seminar where you stamp with VersaMark ink and then sand over it. It makes the images pop out more.

I will be offering 10% off any of the retired sets through the month of May as my special personal promotion to thank all of my customers for a wonderful year together!! Also, the first two customers who place a $250 workshop with me in the month of May will receive a FREE Artsy Elements set!! This is the wonderful flousish set that was offered as a Level C Hostess set during Spring Fever! Now the orders must be through me via phone or e-mail not on my e-commerce site since they are my personal promotions! Give me a call today to be the first!!
