Glitter Poppy the owl Cloze Pinnie

This is a more elegant version of yesterday's post where I used glitter paper for 'Poppy the Owl" from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  It is a clothes pen underneath with a magnet on the back .... can you tell it is hanging on my refrigerator!!  It can be used as a decoration for the holidays to add a recipe, photo or note to your file cabinet or refrigerator or locker!  It is holding a matching small envelope and note card that a gift card will fit into.  Use this for gifting a monetary gift or add it as the closure to a gift bag with the note card as a card inside.  Great small gift idea for giving your tips to your service people this holiday season. 

Gift card cloze pinnies - Santa Owl

New items alert!!!  This will be a new item that I am making to sell at my fall craft shows this year (see my dates above under 'Where to find me').  It is a magnetic clothes pin (cloze pinnie) decorated for the holidays with a small envelope and note card the size of a gift card attached to the clothes pin.  These would be great to use on a gift bag to close the top and then use the note card for a card enclouser OR as a gift itself with a gift card or money added OR just as a small gift to gift to someone special without anything but your kind words added.  For this one I used the 'Poppy the owl' die from Elizabeth Craft Designs and the 'Stitched Circles' from My Favorite Things Designs.  The Santa Hat is a stamp I have had for a while which is cut out and off or an Snoppy image.  I will be posting more for you to see this week.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack

Sometimes the easiest and simplest cards are everyone's favorite .... as was this one yesterday at my first day Stamp-a-Stack.  You probably can not see it in the photo but there is a dusting of fine clear glitter on the main tree which adds so much to the card.  The image is by Heartfelt Creations called Magnificent Spruce Trees and the words are retired TAC.

More Christmas

I so love the way these cards came out ... so quick and easy but so elegant looking.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!  Come to the Green House in Chardon to support domestic violence today from noon till four for  Tickeled Pink.  A $1 donation at the door with help the cause.  Hope to see you all today!

Old fashion Christmas

Craft season begins

I had these pieces of beautiful craft colored paper with pictures on them that I just could not cut into until I go the idea to cut it into pieces and use the pictures on cards.  I got 36 beautiful Christmas cards form one peice of the printed paper.  I am so loving them.  And to make it better I made them with scrapes that were laying on my table at the time, ribbon and laces.  So simple and beautiful.

I officially start my fall shows this weekend.  Saturday at Eastlake North High School and then on Sunday in Chardon at the Tickled in Pick Extravaganza.  I am so looking forward to all of the fun of these shows.  I have my list for this fall at the top of this page under 'Where to find me' with all of the details for the show.

I am on my third roll of ATG tape since Sunday so those of you who are crafters know that is a lot of tape and crafting I have been doing this week.  I hope to get some pictures soon of some of the new items I will be selling but for the next few days how about some pretty Christmas cards? 

Christmas Wreath

For this Christmas card I used two Heartfelt Creations sets.  The wreath is from Small Christmas Wreath and the background stamp is from Holiday Poinsettia Candle set.  The words are from a retired TAC set. 

Holly Christmas

This card was made with Heartfelt Creation's a few of their sets.  Holly Swirl for the main image, Holiday Poinsettia Candle for the background stamp and the words are from a retired TAC set.  I love this ribbon ... I got 30 yards on sale at Hobby Lobby for $1.50!!  It really sets off this card.  I guess I am not real happy with the way I colored the leaves .... I will do better next time.  But all in all is is a nice card.

Making Christmas Cards

Yes ... Christmas is a coming ..... so I have been making my Christmas cards to sell.  This first one is an easy one using Heartfelt Creation's new Poinsettia Ornament 2 Precut set and Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die cuts that match the stamp set.  I colored with Copic markers added ribbon and background paper and I was finished.  Oh I did add a little greenery with a Martha Steward punch.

I hope to have a Christmas card a day this month to help everyone get ready for the season. I sell all the stamps, dies, and markers to make this card. Email me privately if interested.

Christmas Cards with Cricut 2

These two  cards are made .... believe me or not ..... with the cartridge Tie the Knot.  I got it so I can help my long time  friend with her daughters shower and wedding this next year.  Then I saw this great snowflake on it.  I cut it out at 4" and then rubbed Stickles on it so it shines.  It has a nice glow going.  Then I found a snow swirl retired stamp by TAC and stamped it at the bottom with matching pink ink to the snowflake paper.  I also stamped it on the inside and on the envelope.  It is great to be able to use your stamps to accent the theme of your card's focal point on the inside and envelope.  The colors of this card is so non-traditional in the pink and brown but I love them!

Christmas Cards with Cricut

It has been a while since I have posted so just wanted to let you all know I just had to take a rest.  I had such a blessed craft season this year it completely wore me out.  I needed to rest my hands and arms and get my engery back after working so many hours.  It was great to read, catch up on movies I had taped, play games on the computer, work on my Christmas presents (non-stamping mostly), and teach myself iMovie .... oh it was great to get a little cleaning and organizing done also. 

Hey the BIG news is that I decorated for Christmas this year with my mini tree, lights, and all .... it has been years since I have done that. I have really been enjoying the lights and the memories.  I guess I learned that putting up decorations is not just to make the house look good .... it is to remember all of the wonderful memories and people we associate with them.  I have some wonderful mememeries and hope I still will be able to make more in the future.

Oh ... I guess you are all here to see my cards and read my post!  I have been working on my Christmas cards the last few days since we are having a bad blizzard .... and most of them are with my Cricut Expression and Gypsy.  I will be posting some of the designs I made to sell this year and my personal ones in the next week or so.  Sorry, if you see yours in my post before I get them in the mail.  I hope to get out on Tues or Wed. weather permitting.

These two are made with the new cartridge Gingerbread.  When I saw this one came out I just knew I had to have it .... my family made decorated cookies every year since I can remember (not lately though) and I have wonderful memories revolving around gingerbread cookies.  So why not  make the cookies calorie FREE!!!!  I have had so much fun making cards with this cartridge.  More later of them later.

I also wanted to share that I started a new tradition for myself the last few years and I love it.  Since I live alone and do not have many family members which means no gifts to unwrap ... I started to save all of the beautiful cards I get in the mail from all of my wonderful friends.  This year I am putting them under my little tree and then I will open them all up on Christmas Eve. It is so much fun!!!  It brings me a lot of joy ... more than most presents do since I can see all of the beautiful creations, words my friends write in their cards, and think of each of them on Christmas Eve.  You are all blessings to me!!!  If you are alone during the holiday this is a wonderful think to do for yourself.
