Spooky Walk

I extended this side step card (die from Sizzix) by making the tree and leaves extend over the top which means putting it in a larger envelope but the postage is the same.  The tree is from Jillian Stamps, leaves a punch, ghost in back is an old Sizzix die, fence is Our Daily Bread Designs, grass is from My Favorite Things Designs and cat is from Little B.

Halloween fun

This is a double side step card die from Sizzix, a Bigz die which folds into an A2 card!  You can cut a few of these at a time with this type of die.  The skeleton is a new company for me called Echo Park, and they have a lot of stamps with coordinating dies in the same set.  This one has a skeleton, pumpkin, bat, spiders, small jar, 'boo', 'spooky' and a skull.  I have a few of their sport sets too amd am liking them.  The ghost is a very old Sizzix die, the fence is an Our Daily Bread Design, and the bats and cob web is from Little B (I use this set a lot!).

October Mojo

Next week is time for October Mojo class so be sure to let me know what day you will be coming!  We will be making this card for Halloween.  The dies are all from Elizabeth Craft Designs except for the mask which is from Little B.  The words are a retired TAC stamp.  Check my calendar at the top to see the dates and times for classes and be sure to click the link so see the details.

Tiny Treasures Halloween 2

Here are a few more of my 'Tiny Treasures' (see post on Monday) for Halloween.  These two are with the same die set from Little B.  The ghost on the left side was attached to the mini close pin!  Cute!  More to come.

Tiny Treasures Halloween

My new line of 'Treasures' was debuted at the Willoughby Farmer's Market on Saturday and they were a hit!  This are the 'Tiny Treasures' which are a little milk carton closed with a mini close pin to add your own treats like candy (candy corn, skittles, gummy ghosts etc), small office items (page markers, paper clips, thumb tacks etc), money (change, bills or checks), birdseed, popcorn, and so much more.  How about a thumb drive with photos on it!  You can clip a gift card to the back with the close pin. With these you can customize the treat to the person and make it special.   Each has a little tag clipped on the back with a stamped message and then you can add to that message yourself!  I have many different tags and they are interchangeable.  These two are for Halloween and the dies are from 'Little B'.  The spider is loose and sways when the treasure is moved and the ghost one has a die cut window so you can see the candy inside. See more of these in the next few days. I hope to make more of these 'Stumpy Treasures' and 'Tall Treasures' in the future to sell.  This will be my last for sure weekend at market (if no rain).  I may be able to come the third weekend in Oct if the weather is OK so come see me this weekend.

I am also glad to announce my Stamp-a-Stack Christmas coming up October 19 (Sunday) at 2 at my church in Mentor.  More to be announced later but save the date if you want to make some Christmas cards with me!

Pivot Cards Class

This is going to be a great class!!  I have been playing, making and selling the pivot cards all summer and have really been enjoying them.  I am now ready to have a class using the Elizabeth Craft Design Dies to make this type of cards.  I will be showing you in class a slide show of cards I have made and already sold to give you more examples too!  This is a first, I have a TV in my studio now!  This is a really cute Halloween card we will be making and it is quite detailed but as long as you can glue and work with small pieces you will be fine.  Below is the inside of the card.

In the class we will make 4 pivot cards: this house pivot, a simple tree pivot, a triple butterfly and a double the length of the Katie Label die card.  The last two we will be making envelops to match since they are larger cards.  I have added a few more classes for the following week since I know some of you were not able to attend this week.  Please let me know as soon as possible since there are some many dies I need to cut per person.  You will be all die cutting the basic card so you learn how to but I will have the embellishment pieces cut for you.  Hope to see you soon!
