A little side trip ...

... to Pittsburgh!   I just got home from a little side trip with a few friends to the city on our east ... Pittsburgh.  I had a great time and it was nice to get away for a few days to see God's beauty!!!  We went to the bird Aviary and it took my breath away looking at all of the gorgeous different types of birds!  I have included a few of the photos I took there to show you some of the gorgeous colors and types of birds that God made for us to enjoy.  They are amazing ....

  Aren't they gorgeous!!!  Sorry no cards today but you can use some of the color combination from the birds to inspire your work today.  Off to a Farmer's market this afternoon .... it is suppose to be a HOT one today.  Say cool!

I know you are getting tired of these .. but I am loving them! Here are a few more of my photo cards with squirrels this time. And this Saturday I will be going to the Botanical Gardens and they are having an orchid show ... guess what will be coming soon.


Both cards I used my Scor-Pal and gave the background texture with diagonal lines. I keep my scrape basket next to me and find papers that match the photo and mount it and then added a tag with words and ribbons. They are so much fun to make and so easy! On the top one I used a tag from Reece SWIC and the bottom one from Hip Hop FWMC. I used the set Ordinary Greetings for the top card and the level A hostess set Feel Better for the second one.

Just in case you are interested Snapfish.com is having a special now for 100 photos for $12.99 and if you do a collage 4 x 6 then you will have 200 or 400 photos to work with if you put two or four on a picture. Birds in my card

As I promised here are a few more of the cards I created using my own pictures. These two are made with pictures of chickadees from my bird feeder on my deck. I used my Cuddlebug folders in my Big Shot to form the backgrounds. I loved the fact that I could stamp the words between the diamonds on the one card. Stamps on the first one are from a retired sets from TAC and the bottom one from Ordinary Greetings. This is a classic set with mostly expressions we use the most in our card making. I use it a lot.

I went to Dollar Tree last week and have been making some really cute alter items for my craft show this Spring. I need to take the pictures and then I will show you. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Blessings
