Fundamental Frames

I have used this set, Fundamental Frames, for basic frames before but last week I sat down and played .... I mean really played with this set and this is what I came up with .... it is NOT just for frames!  I was in the black, red, white and gray mood so I stamped a frame as a center border on this top card.  Then I added a mounted 1 1/4" black circle with a flower colored and cut out from the 'Hello' set.  Did a little scoring, added a ribbon and words, 'Love You' set, and I was happy with the  results!

Here is a close up of the focal border .... OH I forgot .... I added red Stickles to the centers of the flowers on the frame.

For this card  I stamped the frame three times, twice in black and once in gray and cut them out.  Then layered the gray one on black and cut again.  I wanted to  make the frame look larger so I added the two underneath it for a larger focal point.  Hey .... check out the flower .... it was a cream flower with green dots ..... now it is a red one with ???? colored dots.  It worked!  I colored it with a Copic marker.

I measured the width of the frame and then scored my card that size with my Scor-pal.  It made it easier to stamp the frames inside.  I added a length of embossed white CS ..... scrape laying on my desk from another project ..... with a layer of white and stamped the frame again in black.  This time I layered it on red and then black and mounted it to the cards.  I added a bow as a finishing touch.

Can you find the frame stamp????  I hide it!!  I stamped the smallest frame in gray, red and black ink twisting it a little each time to get this great medallion look.  I added a mounted black circle in the center for depth, scoring and words.

Here you can see the frames better ...  Now what can you do with this set???  It really is more that a frame set if you are up to playing a little.  Remember each of the sets that are featured this month plus all of the sets with hearts in them are 25% off!!

Now go check out my good friend Yuki's take on this set on Savvy Projects Blog.  Her work is amazing and if there is anyone I know it is Yuki who will take these stamps and make them more than just frames.  Oh I forgot to mention .... there is a Nestie set that goes along with these stamps also .... I forgot about it when I was playing ... but I really like to cut so it was fun playing any way.

Amazing work! After not knowing what to do with this set, other than cut them with the Nesties - this is giving me MUCH needed inspiration for this set!!!!

So striking Rita! WOW! I absolutely LOVE that every card I've seen has its own identity and you've given your cards a life entirely of their own as well! So sophisticated and the color palette rocks!

Wow, you went outside the frame too. Love it! I love all your cards but my most favorite is the "thank you" card. I really really really love that one. GREAT job, Rita!
