Day 5 Scor-Pal Fun

Diagonals ... they really give a great texture to your cards! On this card I scored on the diagonal every inch and then stamped an image in each of the diamonds. This is such a soft and easy to make card.

First score on the wrong side of a half sheet of paper at 4 1/4" and crease. Keeping it on the wrong side, line the card up on the diagonal with one of the lines on the Sco-Pal. Keep it like that and score on each 1/2" or inch depending on your preference.

Once you have done this, turn the card and score it again on the other diagonal using the same increment.

On this card I did them at 1" increments ... but card I am showing you the technique with I scored at every 1/2" increment.

On this card I stamped the same image in each of the diagonals and then added a few other pieces to complete it. I made this card with all scrapes except for the base of the card. I love doing that! I feel my most creative when I am designing with scraps!

The question for this post is ... hummm ....... what types of cards do you stamp the most of ... birthday, sympathy, thinking of you, get well ... etc? Blessings for the week!!

OK, you're making me want one of those more and more! :) Anyway, I haven't stamped in quite a while, but I mostly did 'just because' cards. They were fun because there was no certain type I was having to make.

gotta love that scror-pal!

I make all types of cards - birthday, sympathy, get well, baby, etc. I am getting ready for a craft fair so I am in the process of making all types.

I love the look of this card. There is no end to what you can do. I do more Note Cards or Thinking of You cards than anything else.

Stop it Rita! I don't have time to do anything and I love these ideas.
I make mostly bday cards and try to scrapbook. I'm going to do some of this lattice work on a scrappage one of these days.

I love doing the diagonal grid!

Most of my cards are "any occasion". Meaning I can grab one and use it for anything and just personalize the message I write inside.

Hey Miss Rita, can I just say that you are truly awe inspiring and amazing? Well you are. I stamp just about everything, but I seem to stamp alot of Birthday, Must be the 5 sisters and 11 nieces I have...

I like the diagonal idea, although I might make them bigger so it wasn't as time consuming. I make a lot of holiday cards. Typically 20 for a basic holiday (Valentine's, St. Pat's) and 40+ for Christmas, Easter.

I guess I don't really gravitate to a specific card label since you can make a card and, of course, add the sentiment later!!
I really love the grid idea with the stamp in the opening!
Thanks, Rita!

Like the diagonal scoring. Not including my Christmas cards, I mostly make birthday cards, and some sympathy cards, and sometimes cards that can be used for any occasion by adding a sentiment inside.
