My favorite

This weekend is a blog hop on TAC's Savory Projects Blog with your favorites .... so I put three of my favorites together.  Those of you who know me well know that I LOVE these giraffes from the set 'Treasure Found'.  I have used them so much in my cards (you can check the side bar under Treasure Found to see them all).  This one is for a graduation card ... I have used them for birthday, wedding, anniversaries, get well, thanks and 'Make it your own' cards. They are very versatile and can be both masculine and feminine.  Here is a little trivia for you ... did you know that the giraffe have the largest heart of all mammals ... yes it it true.  Think about how hard it would be to pump blood from their heart to their brain and that will make sense to you.  It is used by a group called 'Non-violent Communications', which I worked with years ago, for their mascot to remind people to speak from their hearts instead of their minds.  I have always had a giraffe statue on my desk to remind me of that.

Well back to my favorites ... this card also uses my favorite backgrounds which are of course made with my Scor-pal and it is colored with my favorite method of coloring .... Copics.

Now it is your turn to add your favorite card to the hop .... and be sure to check out all of the great work others have done too! Mischelle's favorite is with one of the new sets that I LOVE .... so be sure to check it out!

Blog Hop - Retiform tech

Welcome to another TAC Blog Hop ... this month it is a technique form the past called Retiform ... never was my favorite .... but I thought I would give it try with a twist from the present!  Yes, I used my Scor-pal with it.  For the top card I did the technique and then added the Scor-bug lines .... which was harder to do.  I scored them lightly first from the front and then from the back used the Scor-bug over the scored lines.  I love the finished results but next time would start with the Scor-bugged lines and then do the technique with the lines as my guides.  I used TAC stamp set called 'Girls day out' for both of my cards.

Here is a little closer look at the detail.  I colored with my Copic markers the inks etc are in a picture toward the end.  I added two holes on one line and added a ribbon with a cut out and colored flower on the knot for an embellishment.  There is shading under the tea pot but it does not show up in the photo and in person it looks better blended.

For this card I did the lines first with my Scor-buddy, yes I did a double line, and then masked and did the technique.   The image is colored with Copics and I used the blender pen to take away the color for the dots on the boots. By coloring with Copic makers you can see from the back where your image is and it easy to place the scored lines around it.   I punched out and mounted three little flowers and added them for embellishments with Stickles in the center.

I was originally going to ink around the white corner but decided I liked the clean finish look better.  I probably added too much ink to the card for the tech but I was using a make-up sponge and I usually do not use this kind it was hard for me to control the ink.

Here are the inks and maker colors I used.  And yes .... your eyes are seeing something in that picture that I'll bet many of you have NEVER seen before!!!  It is a wood mounted stamp from yes .... wait for it .... THE ANGEL COMPANY!!!!  It was probably one of my first stamps I got from the company 12 years ago.  It still stamps great too!

Now I have added the link for you to view others creations in the blog hop so get hopping .... and give it a try yourself before Sunday night!

Marvelous You

Here is a card I made into a set of four to sell since it was one that could be given to someone for more than one type of occasion ... birthday, anniversary, thinking of you or thank you.  I love this set when  I saw it since I had just seen my first bear in the wild and it felt like it was made for me!!!  Was it Mischelle???  I didn't color this at all since I liked the look of the image all in brown.  I used Willoughby paper for the accent paper behind it and a brown ribbon.  Here is a closer look.
I had an amazing weekend .... one the the BEST weekends ever at the craft show at St.Gabs ..... the most I have ever sold in my life!!!  My stock is so down I will be working me fingers to the bone again this weekend since I have two different shows again this weekend.... Tower City in downtown Cleveland on Friday .... yes this is a totally new adventure of me and Lake Catholic in Mentor on Saturday.

I went out with a friend to a wine tasting after the show on Friday, dinner and then watched the Cavs win a game to become the leaders in the Centeral Division.  Who would have thought!  Then on Sunday I went out with another good friend to a very nice resturant for dinner, it was a great weekend.  But between times my fingers where working gettting more things made for my shows.

So far this week I have completed 50 Card Candy for the holidays, and 25 for all occasions.  I need to take some into Jenniffer & Co this week.  I also found some holiday recipe cards so I made up 14 of my recipe books for the holidays.  I have started 60 pocketed books since I sold 45 of the 52 I had made last week.  I hope to get those finished today.  And I created another new idea for gift giving so I am going to try and go get the things I need to make these up in quanity today and get busy on them.  I hope to show you some pictures of everything next week ... if life slows down.

TAC is having a holiday gift giving blog hop in two weeks so I was hoping to do a week of these types of items leading up to and then include them in the hop.  Let's see if I have time to take the pictures etc.

Savvy Fall Blog Hop

I am so excited that TAC is now giving us two days to upload for the Blog Hops since all of my Saturdays till Dec. are totally booked with craft shows.  I used the set TAC's new set Cup of Love from the new Fall Supplement for my cards. When I saw this set it brought warmth to my heart, since when my daughter was little I made all of her clothing and machine appliqued little images on them.  These cute little critters are so similar to the ones I would put on the pockets of her clothing.  I loved to see her in these cute little outfits and I know she enjoyed them also.

I used TAC's Emma SWIC papers and my Copic markers to color the images.  I really enjoyed coloring these too! How am I doing Teach (Pat)??? On the first card I used the images so they are coming out of the cups .... but I wanted to show you a few other ideas to use them for also.

On this card I put the little kitty on top of one the the tags that goes with the paper collection.  Doesn't it look cute that way!  I designed these cards the way I love to design .... from scraps on my table!!!  I can be the most creative this way with my layouts.  Try it sometime!

And for the last one I just used the cup and words ... no little critter.  It is a very versatile set for all seasons .... and fun to play with.

If you are new to TAC's Blog Hops, go Here and you will see lots of thumbnail pictures at the bottom of the post.  Click on each of these to go to the blogs to see the rest of the images for different angels and TAC customers too.  Yes .... everyone can enter these Hops!!  And there are prized also!!  So come join in on the fun. It will go on till Saturday late so if you go now .... be sure to check back to see the rest of the posts as they are added.
