Distress Stains again in a new way!

Can you tell I am loving my Distress Stains!!!  I used a imitation watercolor paper from Hollo's for the stains after trying regular card stock and watercolor I liked the results I got here the best.  I strayed the paper from the top down about 1/2 - 2/3 down with water then added the stains lifting the paper to make them flow to the bottom of the card.  I dried with my heat gun and then torn the bottom, stamped the images and layered it onto the blue CS.  The flowers are punched from the same set as yesterday's balloon card from the same paper and then colored with the stains.  After they dried I added them with glue and put a gem in the center.  A nice bright card for any occasion!

Isabella Loves Ice Cream

I used this set for a card for this months Mojo class but loved it so much I wanted to make a few more.  I used words from the Hampton Arts Birthday set on the outside and words from other Stamping Bella stamps on the inside.  The girl is called 'Isabella Loves Ice Cream' from Stamping Bella.  I love the words with this bella!!!  And yes ... more of the splat backgrounds using the Tim Holtz Stains.

More fun Splat Backgrounds using Tim Holtz Distress Stains!!!  The words on these are from My favorite Things and are called 'Bold Sentiments'.  I have some great ideas to do with this set to show you later.  I also used a set called 'Borders' by Hampton Arts for some added detail.

If you are getting my newsletter monthly you saw directions on how to make these fun backgrounds and these samples using Tim Holtz Stains.  Well here they are all made up into cards!  So quick and easy!!!  Make the quick and fun background, layer on matching card stock and then onto card base and stamp bold words in black!  These words are from a set called 'Grand Sentiments' from My Favorite Things'.  Great for many different occasions. If you need any of the Distress Stains let me know I will be putting an order in the first of next week hopefully.  My prices are 25% retail so it is a great buy and they will last a long time.

Aug Mojo Time

 

Mojo time again .... this card is really fun to make and easy too!!  It features one of the Uptown Girl stamps from Stamping Bella colored with Copic markers.  I did the out of the box technique so her skirt sticks out of the rectangle.  The background is made with Tim Holtz Stains (daubers) hit hard on the paper to make this great drip or splatter look!  It is fun to do and relieves some stress at the same time!

Mojo is a great class to learn or review techniques and make five all occasion cards at the same time.  This month we will be making this birthday card, a masculine card, a sympathy card, a get well card and a fabulous fold card.  Check out my calendar for the times and dates and let me know if you are interested in attending.
