I've been published ...

So here is my second bit of good news ...... I am have been published in the new Stampers' Sampler for June/July 2010!!!! Not just a card either .... a three page article!! I had sent into them over 3 1/2 years ago and they are just now publishing it. WOW! I could not believe it when I got my free issue in the mail .... but I was so thrilled. I have not send anything in to any magazines since then so it was a total surprise. It is a machine stitched purse I had made with matching cards inside using my 4" square technique.

For this card I used one of the very popular Magnolia Stamps. Yes, I colored her myself too!! I know I have not been the best at using my Copic markers but I think I am getting it now, thanks to my friend Pat. And I am going to be getting my certification, hopefully this summer. This card has a lot more detail than most of my cards. I have an embossed background edges with the matching Copic marker I colored in the girls dress. A die cut border from my Cricut (Storybook) and flowers and leaves that I punched out. I am loving this Martha Steward leaf punch. For the centers I used my faux pearl drops.

I used a white and black gel pen for the dots on the scalloped circle punches and lots of clear glitter pen for accent.

I have more to share with you too .... so help me spread the word that this blog is up and going again! Thanks to all of you who have been such a big support to me ... you know who you are. Blessings to all.
