Cute Elephant Double Dutch card

Adventrues in Stamping

'Fun Folds for You' class is one of the three classes I will be teaching this year at Adventures in Stamping during April 22-24 in Akron, Ohio.  In this class I will be teaching 5 easy and fast fun folds for cardmakers.  This photo shows from left to right a Standing Corner Card, Stepped Panel Card and a Reverse Gate Fold Card.  If you are local and can not make it to the convention and are still interested in learning to make these cards let me know in the comments and I may offer them in my home this summer if there is enough interest.

Standing Christmas Tree Card

Love this new card fold I saw on Splitcoaststamper so I made it into one of the cards for my annual Christmas Stamping Event on Dec 4-5.  The background snowflake stamp and the layered tree stamp are both from Hero Arts and the Christmas die is from Simon Says Stamps.  I really love the way this card looks!

Cocoa and Tea pockets

I made four of each of these pockets to put cocoa or tea in for my craft shows.  There is a note card inside the pocket for a message and a gift card, tip, money, check or small gift item will also fit inside for the holiday season.  They are all made on the We are Memory Keepers envelope board and the die and stamps are from various companies: Paper Smooches, Whinney and Walter, Our Daily Bread Designs, Sizzix, Hero Arts, My Favorite Things Designs, Lawn Fawn and Kaiser Craft.

Come visit me this coming Saturday at Lake Catholic HS in Mentor for a great craft show.  I will be in the gym next to my friend Michelle from Tastefully Simple.  Stop by!!

Here are a few more of the pillow boxes I have been making for my craft shows in Nov.  These will have chocolate and a note card in them for gift card, tip and money giving for the holidays etc.  I am liking the way they are coming out.  How about you?

Pillow Boxes for Craft shows

I have been busy getting ready for Nov and my three craft shows for this fall:
  • Nov 7, Lake Catholic in Mentor
  • Nov 13 & 14, St Marks in Chesterland
  • Nov 21, St Pasquals in Highland Hills
This year I will not be making covered Hershey Bars!!!  I know surprise since it is my best seller at these show, but I wanted to switch things up a little this year.  I have made over 50+ of these pillow boxes which I will put chocolate and a small note card (Be Merry) in for gifting of tips, gift cards and money instead of the candy bars.  I think it is time for a change.  The die for the base is from Lawn Fawn (I meant the owner, Kelly at Simon Says Create, she is so sweet). The bat die you have been seeing me use so much in Sept goes with it, the owl die and the Santa (I made it into an elf too).  I sure hope there are more coming out since I love working with these!  What would you like to see???

Simon Says Create @015

This past weekend I drove to Columbus for a weekend of cardmaking with Simon Says Stamps Create 2015 (#Simonsayscreate).  It was a wonderful weekend!!!  I got to meet many of the designers I admire and follow in person and talk with them!  That was a trill for me.  I also meet a lot of wonderful people from all over the country (including Canada) who are dedicated and excellent stampers and creators who I hope to keep in touch with many of them.  Here are a few of the creations we made.

Believe it or not I learned so many new techniques and ways to do things.  I even got out of my box and made a canvas!! I am not a mixed media type gal but boy was it fun and I will post the finished product here later when I have time to finish the details.  I even have plans to make a few to sell next summer at markets!!!  That is big for me.
