Fox Cloze Pinnie
This is another Cloze Pinnie I made for my fall craft shows. This one used the fox die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The stamps are all retired TAC and the background is a Spellbinders die which is older. I really love these new animal die cuts by Karen Burniston ... they are so cute.
Stop in to see me this Saturday at St Pasquale's from 9-4 on Wilson Mills Road. The weather is suppose to be a lot better this weekend.

Bear Cloze Pinnie
Can it get any colder??? I know we did not get as much snow as was expected but it was still way too much for me. I am done with winter can we go on to Spring now??? I have been in the house for a few days now working to get restocked for my last two shows. It is a great way to spend snowy cold days!! Here is one of my new Gift Cloze Pinnies. The idea for these is you can give it as a gift with a gift card, money or check in the envelope with you own personal note on the card OR you can use the clothes pin to close a gift bag with a gift inside and drop the note card with the envelope inside as a card encloser. The clothes pin can be used to clip snacks etc closed or put on the refrigerator, locker, metal door etc. (it has a magnet on the back) to hold a recipe, photo, note, list etc or used as a paper clip on papers. Great for a small gift for a friend, co-worker etc. The bear is a die cut from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
My show this Saturday is the biggest all year at St. Pasquale's on Wilson Mills Road from 9-4 with a $2 admission fee. Hope to see lots of you there! I have made up a few new items for this show too.

Glitter Poppy the owl Cloze Pinnie
This is a more elegant version of yesterday's post where I used glitter paper for 'Poppy the Owl" from Elizabeth Craft Designs. It is a clothes pen underneath with a magnet on the back .... can you tell it is hanging on my refrigerator!! It can be used as a decoration for the holidays to add a recipe, photo or note to your file cabinet or refrigerator or locker! It is holding a matching small envelope and note card that a gift card will fit into. Use this for gifting a monetary gift or add it as the closure to a gift bag with the note card as a card inside. Great small gift idea for giving your tips to your service people this holiday season.

Pivot Get Well Card
Here is another pivot card made with dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs by Karen Burniston. I am having a lot of fun making and selling these cards! It is easiest to use double sided paper when making them and they can be made in any size and at any position on your card front. Below is a photo of the inside so you can see the pivot part.
I used a Spellbinder die for the foliage and an Elizabeth Craft Design die for the lady bugs. The extra tag at the bottom right is so you can write your message and sign the card.

All white!
I have been wanting to make an all white card for a long time so here it is! I used a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop for the background textured dots with white embossing paste. The flowers and leaves are cut from vellum with centers of crystal gems. I added crystal Stickles for dots around the area for added glitz. The words are from Paper Smooches from a set called 'Pretty Phases'. I thought this would make a great wedding or anniversary card.
Love you Dearly
Here is an example of stenciling with with Distress Stains, grey and tan, and stenciling with Distress Inks and a Tim Holtz Tool, pink hearts. The stains give a bolder more saturated look with less control on your part where the inks you have more control over the darkness and where you add the most ink. The gray and tan colored images are from a stencil by The Crafter's Workshop and the hearts are from a stencil from Heidi Swapp called ' Confetti'. I stamped heart stamps in the background using a set by Unity called 'Loolah Collection'. The words are from a great set by Paper Smooches called ' Pretty Phases'. I love the font and size of these stamps! The hearts are die cut from Spellbinders 'Scaloped Hearts' and then embossed with various embossing folders. I added inks, glitter and Crystal Accents to give a shiny look.

Embossing paste, stencils, vellums & stains ... OH MY!!!
Still playing with my Distress Stains, vellum, embossing pastes and vellum getting ready for my Dynamic Distress Stains class coming up in April. I love the way this one came out. I used a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop, with white embossing paste for the base for the woven texture. When it was dry, I added Distress Stains to the texture using two different colors. The flower is cut from a die by Elizabeth Crafts Designs named 'Flowers #2' out of vellum. Then I daubed two colors of Distress Stains on them. Love the blotching tie dyed look!! The leaves were done in the same manner with a Spellbinders die named 'Foliage'. I added pearls and mounted it on brown paper and then to the card front.
Remember my Envelope Maker Extraordinaire #1 starts this weekend and continues next week, the following week will be my Mojo Classes and the next week I start my first classes of Fabulous Folds #2 Book. Wait till you see some of the cards I will be showing you as samples!! If you are interested in a class check my calendar above for dates and times and email me if you are planning on attending. Playing with Stains & Stencils
With all of this cold snowy weather I have had some time to play!! I was playing with my Distress Stains (my favorite things right now) and stencils to see what I could do. I used a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop for the background giving a tiled look. I applied the stain with the Tim Holtz Distress tool tapped it into a puddle of stain and dabbing with an up and down motion over the stencil. I like that look the best. For the fern, I made my own stencil with a Spellbinders foliage die and dabbed the stain right over the stencil and it soaked in a little more. Not the look I really like. But it is good to try different ways of doing things. The flower is cut with a die from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Flowers #1 and cut from vellum!!! I then used my Distress Stains to color the vellum. I love this look a lot! The word stamp is from Paper Smooches called 'Pretty Phases' and the little dots are a stamp from a set called 'Petals & Stems' from Avery Elle. I also added a light blue Stickles for dots. I love how it came out!!

Just Swingin' 2
Another easy card with the Just Swingin' die from Spellbinders. This one I cut the die in brown, the background is a cloud like card stock and it is mounted on a layer of med blue card stock. Again an easy and quick card as long as you use wax paper to die cut the image. More samples coming in the next few days.
The words are called 'Life Path' are a rubber cling stamp from Stampendous. I sell the die and the words stamps.
