True Beauty

I am a day behind with TAC's You Make February Fabulous Event & Contest but since I do not have today's set I can catch up.  Be sure to visit Savvy Projects Blog to see Chelsea's great cards using 'The Places we can go' today.  And be sure to click on the thumbnail links at the bottom of the post to see more creations ... hey ... add your own too!!

The set I am featuring today is 'True Beauty' which has four larger postage style stamps which have butterflies in them. Christine featured it yesterday HERE for you to see more samples with this set.  She make some really bold colored beautiful cards which are awesome! You can see on my first card that I stamped the image first as a background and then colored one of the butterflies and cut it out to add as an embellishment.

The words are from the hostess set 'Love You' which is one of my go to sets for words.  You can see the Copic colors I used to color it in the photo above. The butterfly is attached with mounting cushion close to it's body so it looks like it is flying.   I scored the background before I stamped it for a little more interest.

For my second card  I scored the background with my Scor-pal every half inch and added a die cut that really was a mistake I had cut out with them Cricut.  I save these and figure out a way to use them for other projects ... I think this one is so large it will be in three different projects!

I colored the image with Copics, sorry I did not save the colors I used since I was coloring and cooking my dinner last night at the same time.  It is mounted on black cardstock before attached to the red die cut.  I used my Crop-a-dile to punch two holes to add a bow in the middle of the card. The words are from another set I use a lot called 'Ordinary Greetings.'

Like everyone else .... THE winter storm has shut down the whole city ... I have not seen anyone out on my street all day.  It is cold, snowy and lots and lots of ice.  My Gabby was actually walking on the snow and  not falling in right away since it is so thick .... then it would scare her when one foot would sink into the snow.  The temps when up to 40 earlier and melted some of the ice but it is dropping again and re-freezing this afternoon which will be a problem.  Stamp warm everyone and stay stamping!!

Now start hopping to see what others have done ...
